I sat in a class on cause analysis and mapping techniques for industry- woo, hoo....

But! I redeemed myself by assaulting the wabdr stage 1 on the DR friday and the back way south around the vocano Saturday; it were fun! I got's pictures, just not on the compuuter yet, stay tuned, or see them wednesday at the meetup.

Sunday ride? big bikes? or saturday after 2 or so I'm free, but all day Sunday. Rick gave me some new to me tires so I'll mount them this week- Felix; fair warning I'll be borrowing your balancer again unless Pman can whip up one for me.

I also have a heavy duty bead breaker. If you just wanna bring over your wheel and "new" tire, you can do the whole job at my place. It's about time I replaced the front on the GS... Someone with some experience with tubeless tires looking over my shoulder would be most welcome!

Nolan, the "little one"
The full picture has me wearing the rolly free tee- I'm making good parenting look easy!

pedro!

Just ordered me a set of Avons for the trumpet; those maxxis tires were stamped with 1007- wich I deduce is 10th week, 2007 manufracture - tread was decent but not "thru the winter decent"
Thanks again Rick, want to take my used up tires to the dump too? I keed....

As a warning to my fellow comrades, do not shop at the Safeway on 40th and Donald! There is a roaming band of "Bluming" idiots that stalk that parking lot, steal your stuff and move your bike to areas marked as no parking.... you've been warned!

I didn't want to make a whole new thread and figured you guys would probably know, so here's my question.

I'm riding up to Seattle from Phoenix and on the way back am planning in or near Coos Bay, so I was wondering, what's the best campground in that area? I'm also fine with (or would prefer) stealth camping if that's an option. I figure you guys would have a better idea of a good campsite than the family in the RV who rated it on some random website.

I hate campgrounds, I avoid them like the plague... noisy, stereo's, kids screaming, dogs barking, generators running, jackasses with diesel trucks that think they need to idle for 20 minutes instead of shutting down... might as well camp in aisle 3 of the local WalMart.

The problem with stealth camping around Coos Bay is that there is no BLM/Forest land nearby to slap a tent on, it's all in private hands. Go inland from Reedsport or Bandon and you can find some. If I had to bite the bullet and stay in a campground I'd vote for Cape Blanco near Port Orford, it's a really nice area with a remote feel.

any other parking lots I see yff's parking away from the front door and not up front, using your DOG given right as a motorcyclist to park on the sidewalk or at least under the shadey/dry part of a building next to the AC/Heat/Dry/Safe environment be warned- I will park your bike better
