That's what happens when you hang out with those shifty people that drive vans. Did you guys get the big bowl of candy also?

Cry

it's 0630 and I'm reading about a strong cold front set to move down into OR Sunday with snow showers likely in the mountains where I'm set to be....to cage it or not cage it...THAT is now the question. I can't afford to get me and the Klr stuck in La Grande cuz the always-accurate weather slobs missed the snow's arrival time.
Dang it!

Did you wake up High? The weather this weekend is perfect. There isn't anything coming through until Wednesday and that doesn't have any significant moisture in it. Even Meacham which is the top of the Blues between Lagrande and Pendleton is showing mid to upper 60's. Cold at night but clear and dry.

i didn't wake up..."high"...but I AM feeling a bit..."fragile". If I wasn't on the innerweb via my POS phone, I'd post a link to the "Special Weather Alert" from the Nat'l Weather Service for the NE Oregon mtn's on Sunday.
i ride almost every day...rain, fog, cold, cold rain...but I'm skeert of snow/ice on 2 wheels.
Maybe I flip a coin...

Go for it. It's never as bad as others or you think it might be.
Just get on that bike and ride.

"... Much colder temperatures early next week...

A strong cold front will move across the region Sunday. This will bring a 15 to 20 degree drop in temperatures for early next week. Highs Monday through Wednesday will be in the 40s and 50s. Lows will be in the teens and 20s. The front will also result in gusty north winds Sunday night into Monday. Snow showers are likely over the northeast Oregon mountains."

This alert? Weather people overly hype it up. If it does snow the temps are warm enough that it won't stick. Don't be afraid.

JUST GO!

Yeah, ... right. Followed this guy to a 'Hardy Souls' camp out once. Saw snow flurries 2-3 times on the way over to the John Day area. He was on a full fared bike with an 800 watt charging system. Snow levels were only 500 ft above John Day that night.

I remember that time! LOL
You were in your "purist faze". Had to have that unfaired airhead! Every time we stopped you would grap my heated handgrips. "Don't shut off that engine"!
