+1 FMF Q, doesn't blow out, spark arrestor so you won't set Oregon on fire. Wasted on a KLR. You don't like the goose call?

....."wasted on a Klr".......PFFFFFFFFFT! I need one for when I'm crawling along on those challenging...flat....gravelled logging roads.
I'll check out the FMF and see what folks who've got one say.
"goose call"?......more like a pissed off lawn mower.

FMF Q is what we run on the Honda's. Great pipe but it still won't make a KLR keep up with an XR.....

doesn't matter...I could be riding a full-on MX race bike and you all could be on Vespa's and I'd STILL be watching tailights. I'd still be having fun though, too...I'd just have to come up with better excuses.

It looks like the FMF requires re-jetting....anyone wanna hand hold me through that the first time?

2003 S3 10K miles he'll take $3k. Trying like mad to find a ride from SAC airport to where the seller lives 90 miles east of Sacramento next Saturday or UShip it. May have to steal blume's Sprinter next weekend.

Might consider the Leo Vince Enduro from Happy Trails. It doesn't need repacking (ever!) like the FMF I have on my WR. When I put it on the KLR it sure made it a lot more fun to ride. Don't know why, but didn't realize how much I hate that tweety sound. The Leo Vince also comes with a couple of different end pipes so you can dial in how much noise vs. power you want. Plus it looks cool.

....calm down calm down....I said SLIP on.

I can work out the windscreen stuff in my own head, but I'll gladly entertain knowledgeable...helpful input about aftermarket exhaust pro's and con's for the Klr tonight.

OAN- I got pulled over on the way home after the meet-up last week by a Junction City PD JBT who lied about his probable cause for the stop. I'm never gonna drink more than an iced tea if I'm gonna ride/drive. The guy looked like he was 15 and I don't like wondering if he's gonna smell that one beer and make a 'discretionary arrest' on an "impaired" driver.
(ok...maybe one...or three....with a couple shots...but that's it)

ScottPdx....I was looking at the Leo Vince. Were there any issues about fitting the can under the side cover? I remember reading where someone had a problem along those lines, but I'm not sure if it was on a Gen1 or 2. I like the 'no re-jetting/no re-packing' part of this one. Maybe less "power" than the FMF but.....it's going on a Klr.

I have no experience with them but some folks talk highly of the Leo Vince X3 for the KLR, mechanical baffle, no repacking, USFS sparky....

Oops, should have read to the end of thread.... just listen to Scott.
