Thanks .....

I wasn't intending on a 4th bike at this moment, but the price was right, and it was the perfect alignment of bacon, per se, that I decided to do the deed.

Peterman - This bike is to go in conjunction with the DRZ. I love that little bike. But I'd let ya ride it ........

How ya feelin' Jet?

What's up with the exxon valdez size oil slick directly underneath it?

Just sayin, maybe take a look before you fork the cash over. Or, maybe you rake him over the coals for a couple hundred bucks off or something.

That's not from the bike. I've been talking with the dude for the last 6, 7, some weeks. Really. I actually started talking to him, regarding you, since you were thinkin' (again) about off-loading sumpthin' or sumpthin' to get sumpthin' .....

That oil spread is from when he changed the oil of his wife's rig, and accidentally "nudged" the pan of the spent oil. It made a nice little mess, eh ......

I've talked with him via PM and on the phone regarding the bike to great detail - and the only thing going on is a little weepage from the fork seals.

Easy to fix.

And ..... yes, the bike is no garage queen, and has been ridden like it should (to some degree) from the 2nd owner - but it still only has 6400 miles on it.

So yeah ...... the oil spill is not from the bike ..... and I totally believe him.

Anyhow, there you have it.

p.s. - of course I'm gonna look the bike all over before I roll it into my truck.
p.p.s. - regardless - I'm gonna have a good time at Dag's little shin-dig.

G.

Tell the dude with the oil stain to try this little trick.

wet the oil stain with water, lots of water! (think hose!)
pour a thick coating of powdered laundry detergent all over the stain area and let it sit there while you drink 2 beers. (accurate time measure method, 3 beers if you are a fast drinker)
get a stiff bristle broom, add a bit more water, or a beer, and get to scrubbing.
The oil will come up, the soap will turn brown, he can wash the whole mess down the driveway and into the river system, and he'll end up with a white spot on his floor where the stain was.
Or, he could pour drain oil over the rest of the floor to make it match, and waterproof it at the same time!
just tryin to help out,,,
