I don't have a pic, but I just use a marine 12v jack from the auto parts store mounted in the fairing.
I have it wired into the headlight (i think?)

And then I have something like this to plug stuff into:

Maybe a reccomendation on the best cruise control setup?
I have a heavy duty o-ring on the bar end. When I need CC, I roll the ring up against the grip with my pinky.

Oh, and Nice Bike!

This bike is already piped and jetted, and has a small zero gravity screen that works well for my 5'9" frame."

First off, any bark busters on these bikes look like shit no matter what you try so invest in nice gloves. I have a throttlemeister they are expensive but very much worth it. what do you have for an exhaust?

yoshi pipe w/ dynojet stage 1 kit

I managed, like a real dumbass, to get overwhelmed by it trying to load it into my truck earlier this week. I now have a fractured left foot, a small scrape on the plastics near the seat, and a lot of wounded pride

Its a little heavier than the EX500R

Ouch, sorry to hear about your Bandit 1200 trying to sqaush you when loading it in your truck...good luck on your recovery soon...I can relate to having moments of near disaster when on the loading ramp with my dirt bikes and street bikes over the years and when I bought my GSX650F a few weeks ago...it almost came off the cheap narrow steel ramp I use...I think I'll invest in a nice wide aluminium heavy duty one ....500 + LBS. can do some damage...

Of all the bikes to drop on yourself, the Bandit 12XX is not a good choice.

Hey guys I'm hoping someone can help me out.
My buddy has a 2000 600S, his bike runs flawlessly in the "Prime" position, but if you put it in "Run/On" or "Res" it starts to cut out a mile or so down the road. I rebuilt the petcock, and checked for vacuum at the port that goes into it. I had vacuum, but it seemed kinda erratic, not sure if that's normal. He's been riding it for a year or so with it on Prime. The main thing that sucks is not having reserve fuel. Can someone let me know if they've run into similar problems. Also, is there a manual petcock you can switch to, or can I modify this one to disable the need for vacuum.

Thanks, Jonathan

Those vacuum petcocks are pretty basic. Sounds like it may indeed be a vacuum issue. Use a hand vacuum pump or suck on the vacuum port and see if fuel passes. Buy using a pump you can also check to see if it holds vacuum or is leaking. The chain parts stores loan pumps.

Take your petcock apart again and make sure that the internals match the positions that you are using sounds like you might be on place off or so, the same thing happened to me with my 1971 CL450 no vac. but after I rebuilt the petcock it would run in the office position and not run in the on position.

Also just got brand new Battlaxe's for el bandito! tread is a wonderful thing!

bar risers

After getting through this whole thread I knew something would stick in my brain. With 20$$ and less than an hour I installed the washer version of bar risers. Got around half inch rise and first impression is...wow! To go on my first road trip they will be very comfy, I didn't expect such a change. Those backroads are calling my name!

Another question for you. How did you wire the headlamp in?
