I have lined up another rider to meet us at the Maple Springs gate with fresh cold supplies . I'm sure we'll be out by then, and no stores will be selling at that time of the morning, and we will need them for the ride up and at the top when we get there . A sunrise is just a big red ball without a beer in hand.

Rob should be able to help with the numbers. I think it is about an hour to and from the beginning of the ride, add another 25 minutes to the Maple Springs gate, but there will be no traffic at 2 - 3 am in the morning, just gotta keep our eyes open, be safe, and watch for the man.

Barring no unforeseen incidents, we should finish up the Los Angeles crest part of the ride by 2:00am. From there it will take about thirty minutes to get to the 210. We will most likely stop for some food. So, I would say that we will be hitting the gate at Maple Springs around 4:00am. Ride up to four corners and have some refreshments . Then up to the peaks and the top in time for sun up.

Any other FF's who want to meet us at MS gate, come on along. If you get to the gate and there is a rock on the left gate post, we've already passed thru and are on the way up.

What sounds good, the ride or the group cuddle? Light should be fine, I don't think we'll be going too fast. Or will we?

I usually find that my beer goggles would cancel out any extra light I had any ways....But typically not, that's why we choose full moon nights and hope for clear skies.

By the way, "group cuddle" sounds like a good name for a band.

you can only go as fast as your light .
but yessss as Rob said, with BEER goggles you go a little faster!

BTW this is why we do it on a FULL MOON so nature helps with the light !

Jeff, it will be great. I would be the man bringing the resupply of beer. I don't know why, but I'm going to be waiting like a bridesmaid at a gay wedding in San Dimas. Planning on getting to MS trailhead at about 4. Bring something warm, since they may have passed out for a while before they show up. Rob's going to leave a trail of crackers if he shows up early.

So...6am I will leave at least 2 beers at the bottom of the left gate post and just ride up to 4 corners.

Snuggle with whomever you like...
