Just Email Joe at Turn Tech here:

THE-MAN@turntechbattery.com

He'll send you a quote/invoice that you can pay via PayPal or with a charge card via PayPal.

It's quite easy and Joe is very responsive to his Email.

I've been very happy with the 7.5Ah in my 950 SMR. It fires right up first try, even after sitting for two weeks.

NM

edit:

Cooler weather has finally hit my area. The TurnTech battery has preformed perfectly thus far. After sitting out for over a week untouched in sub 40 deg weather, no tender. The first crank was a little slow tuning over. Then the battery then self heats and spins the motor over as normal on the second try, fires rite up. On the stock battery in the same temps it would take three or more tries to get the motor fired up, despite coming right off the battery tender.

Cyborg how does one order the TT 10AH battery? I can't find it on the website, only a 2.5 and 5AH.

Thanks
Mike

LC8 battery choices

Great thread. Thanks to all for contributing.

Another choice: Shorai LiFePO4 batteries (www.shoraipower.com)

They are new in North America, but appear to have been around for 9 years (built in Japan). Maybe worth a look?

OK, my battery i now officially on its way out. Last 3 days, it has failed to start the bike on cold mornings (19-20DegC, not very cold, but colder than 45+DegC in the summer). After being put on charge for a few hours, its starts up the engine (maybe made easier by the warmer noon temps).

So, i have an option to buy another stock (lead acid) battery OR go for a LiFePO4 battery pack. Think i'll go with the Lithim one...

This is a good option i think, thanks motowest

After reading through this thread, I have decided that the LiFePO4 battery is my top choice. I'll report back when I get the Shorai battery.

I looked at their website, but couldn't find any ordering details/links. no retailers listed either (they did mention that they will start adding dealer names 01 Dec onwards).

Do you know a retailer who will ship to the middle-east without asking me for for an arm/leg ?

I've been reading this interesting thread.

Anyone concerned with water crossings with a 9x0A with these batteries?

Very eager to hear your results, ready to pull the trigger on one for my 990 AND my 450EXC if all is good. Damn, but I'm tired of weak batteries that won't start in the cold, etc.

battery

My 950 Adventure is waiting for a new cam-shaft right now, so it might be a couple of weeks before I get a battery for it. I will report back when I do, though.

No issue at all, at least with my TurnTech. Mine is an off the shelf Turntech 5Ah, so it comes with a hard plastic shell. I've gone through countless deep water crossings without any issues.

The 10ah doesn't come with a plastic shell though. A 5ah wouldn't turn over a 9x0 as far as i know

Installed the LiFePO4 10ah battery today. It works, but at idle with the heated grips on I am seeing 11.9 volts (according to the GPS). The 6 year old stocker would never go that low.
I may have a loose connection. More testing is needed.

That's too funny. Why do you think I responded to the question? You may read the other posts I have already in this thread too.

I've been running the TurnTech 5Ah battery in my 950 for a year and a half.
