Merry Christmas to me

I do have an Ascot sitting in the shop. A little tough to start in the cold, but I think I could find some 18" knobbies that would fit it and stud them up. Not alot of suspension on it but it is kind of a flat track style beast.
What do you think ?
Go for it. Search Ice Racing screws on ebay. If your not using liners get 5/8 screws max 500 front/1000 rear. Otherwise you'll have a pin cushion on the inside.

big stud

Even if I am not riding the ice on my BRP, I wouldn't mind just coming to watch.. Ice racing is a ton of fun... I am hoping to get it all together for the mid of Jan...

Just don't forget some of that sheep shagin lube and you'll be fine. If you had some large Jorgenson clamps that may help you keep the bead squeezed into the rim pocket.

jrcool and I have his bike to tear into tonight thanks to Uber piloting my small trailer yesterday.

goin screwy

Good idea, thanks for the reminder. Clamps, check, lube, if dish soap works, gloves, have inch thick welding mitts, and of course the camera for the fun.

Good luck with JR's bike.

I've had great luck using Armorall for lube. Get the tire part way on the rim, then squeeze the mounted part into the center with a C clamp, and it'll pop on nice and easy.

With a little TLC I bet a set lasts me 3 years(we'll see).

I need to upload some pics of my current state but I think I'll hold off until the rear is in process.

1500 screws in a pail

Got an 18" Scorpion slick, it's a 150, if it's good for ya I'll bring it over next week at the beer shed.

Had no idea what this was.....just looked it up, Michelin has them, looks like that would work too, no flats

What about pressures though, is adjustment up or down important on the ice???

Thanks Alex.
