Got mine all setup today for the ice. Removed most of the nonessential equipment, just need to load it up and give it a bath.

Craig, Drop the front end an inch.
You will be amazed at how much more pressure is on the front wheel.

My buddy Lurch pulled it out of the dump. We pulled the head off and found that some fuckstick had installed a piston that was too big. It won't let the crank spin all the way without smashing the case.

IT'S FUCKED!!!

Thinking I might try to get my feet wet, or not wet, tomorrow around lunch time. Any last minute guidance?

What does that do for general handling?

Here's ours ready for our first race on Saturday.

After my chain touched a few screws, I had to build a new tire. So much much for $pendy tires. I didn't want to take the chance showing up at the race with 5 knobs looking like this. It's retired to the rack for now. I fabbed up a chain guide to prevent it from happening again.

It makes it a little twitchier on the straightaways, with some headshake.
Just keep the front wheel in the air and you'll be OK!

Nothing, apparently it just allows you to touch the ground.

Ok so I looked for ya robbieo. Can't get an inch lower, and besides I can already touch the ground on it??? When I sit my fat ass on it it lowers naturally.

Oh BTW. I'm officially addicted.
No riding shots as I was out there by myself. But holy fuck dude. In all my riding. I've never taken a corner so hard, so fast, and so low in my life. And I only fell once, held on for dear life while spinning aimlessly across the lake.

It's crazy, yeah? I went riding on Sunday for about an hour, and the track was pretty loose from a crust of ice on top of the good ice, and it was pretty sketchy in the turns. Looking own at the speedo, I'd hit 120 kmh in the short shallow sweeper, 70 in the tight turns, and 40 in the really ripped up crusty loose turn, and I was feeling pokey. My friend was lapping me about every 6th lap. He's less afraid of this than I am. This was the loose turn.
