While we are so nicely talking about the island and it’s beautiful sides, we almost forget that one first has to GET ONTO that rock in the mediterian sea. Than and now, the pleasure and warmth that floats the heart when the Island is close is the same.

Nowadays the scenery looks slightly different. On a quiet normal Wednesday morning, this picture has been taken from vessel B looking back to the main-land and Vessel C and D, while vessel A is still in the harbour’s doc. Four x-zillion-ton-ships bringing in peak season 3’500 tourists each …on a Wednesday morning…. Geeee, that’s indeed more scary than exciting huh! Imagin all these folks would jump off their boats anyway..?

Lucky me, I still was almost alone on the whole ship. This is the coaches-room which I had all for myself, but anyway couldn’t sleep as these seats are uncomfortable like hell! Safe the EUR 8.00 and buy 2 or 3 more Pietra!

Tall people

You can meet tall people on Corsica!

Another, very important thing that I can’t remind the readers often enough: Make enough breaks on your discovery adventures and excursions! If you don't, the gang soon is against instead of with you!

Nowadays breaks look rather like this:

...or like that:

Than, finally, in the evening, when the long day’s ride is done and must be discussed amongst the band, sit together, eat, drink and sing again. And, if ever possible, do it big and in style!

Here comes one more hint before we get back to the motorcycling:
What ever other’s may say about your plans…

Just take that picture you want to take, even though hundreds have taken it already before!

[hehe... now you fellow riders also know why I am so keen on all these bridge-pics; it somehow burned into my mind since my very farest youth...;-) ]

Love the Asterix & OBelix! See any modern day Dogmatix in Corsica?

...and once in a while we have had some BIKEFIX...

...but nope, there was not too much DOGMATIX around, only we was riding shortly by this house one day:

Thumb Means of transportation

My advice to young people contemplating becoming a bus driver: Don't do the road to Portu as your first job.
My advice to pensioners: Don't go on a bus tour on Corsica unless you trust the driver.

Corsica of co(u)rse has also to offer a great and colorful range in its flora and fauna. Sometimes anyway “the movie” itself ….

…is indeed less interesting than “the making off”!

It is not very much surprising though, that in such environment even very impressive other natural-phenomenon can be seen. No clue what this one is named like, but it did look quiet cool and indeed has been one full circle:

I only can confirm that it indeed did look exactly like it looks here on the photo and the ring is definitely NOT a reflection on the camera’s lens but most likely maybe on a layer of air some miles above.

I love Corsica more than can be considered normal. I studied there 10 years ago and we returned for a holiday last year. This year we're doing it in style on our 1200GS. I cry every time I have to leave Corsica

This is a halo caused by the refraction of light through atmospheric ice crystals

Thanks bikerchi.... uhm... Misi ;-) Hope you're going to post lots of pics from Corsica! Not that it might help you too much but: EVERYBODY has tears in the eyes as soon the vessel leaves Bastia harbour!
