if your creative minded. i got a piece of the neoprene flat/cutting board type plastic at the same thickness as the OE slipper & marked it out , cut it up then used a heat gun to bend it.
it fitted sweet never wore out again

approx 320,000klm's as it stands in these pics.

I'm already in this thread a time or two, but those bikes are long gone. Just picked up another XR600! This is the forth one I've had.

Got it on ebay. Rode the bus out to pick it up. Hadn't been run in a few years and was sitting outside. The guy let me tear it down in his driveway. I brought fresh gas, oil, and carb cleaner with me. After an hour the bike was purring sweetly and I promptly rode it 100 miles home.

Wheel bearings are toast, linkage is worn, chain is absolutely obliterated, little oil seeping here and there - but runs great and seems to be low miles.

I'll clean it up later tonight. Already have a set of dirtbagz for it~!

That looks a lot better than the one I made from a cut up 5 gal bucket.

No time for modding this time around! Heading to Argentina on it tomorrow morning! Haha, will likely need to do a rebuild at some point on the road. I'll fix everything that needs it as I go along. Mexico here I come!

Has anyone got anything to say about Hotcams Stage One cams for the XR600R? Considering buying one for my XR and woul like to know about anyone whos used them before. Couldn't find jack with search.

I put a Hotcam in my XR600 during the last rebuild. You'll lose the decompress apparatus...
