Maybe this will help. Lay your rockers out just like this picture, and then tell him which one you are missing. This is a recent photo of a full set of rockers. (Yes I know these rockers are shot)

my untrained eye tells me that it looks like you have the two "upper" ones in the pic mixed up from side to side.

#4 is the right exhaust #3 is the right intake #2 is the left exhaust #1 is the missing/incorrect left intake The intake rocker in your picture is the right side, not the left.

so head is back on with new kibblewhite springs, new stem seals and ti retainers...looks great
head os on with new cometic gasket and torqued down nicely I will put oem cam back on with oem rockers for the meantime while I wait for my missing rocker or whatever? I did do something bad and that was I managed to somehow strip the head off one of the allen bolts on the cam sprocket, thing is maybe its just gave way after 5-6 times of toruqing down and the good news is they break clean of the head and all you do is take the threads out. so next week or whenever Ill get some good hard grade allen bolts there and call it good. gasket is clean and read to go on thing is next week Im super busy and hae to reopen my bar, so it will be like this for a while hopefully if cw is seing this we can get a rocker going again thanks |

I was just giving you crap about the shifter I too like it level, as Im used to wearing thin boots...or at least something other than full on motocross boots, I upshift using my ankle as I like the mobility, I hate doing the side shift thing although sometomes I have to...
anywhoo speaking of stripping stuff this dumbass did just that! so dont listen to me man! geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze yeah I might just might get a chance today to get the allen bolt and seal her up sans hrc cam and rockers oh well well see what "lightweight" racing springs do then! jajajajajaajjajjajajajaajja |

So, I got my first flat a few days ago. Been busy at work, so haven't had time to order anything. I'm ordering some spoons and other goodies from motion pro now, and I'm going to order some tubes. These Fly Racing heavy duty tubes on motorcycle-superstore look to be a good deal, but they are in standard sizes and my tire is metric. I know, I know, I'm a noob, but I always get confused when it comes time to order tires. I have a Pirelli mt21 on the rear that reads 120/80-18. What size tube do I need?
Here' a link to the fly racing tubes with available sizes: http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com...Duty-Tube.aspx |

So...
On the 4th I went to jump between exits on the interstate and the old girl died on me after flogging her hard for a mile or so.. I presumed it to be ethanol laced bad gas as that has given my dad issues years back after running it hard.. So I kicked and kicked and finally got it started and got her home.. The old thumper had a leak out the clutch shaft that was pretty severe that I am waiting on parts for. I didnt think i was loosing that much oil from the leak but i was almost a quart low when i pulled the dipstick out.. I put another quart of oil in so that it came way up the dipstick.. But when I started her up, she was smoking.. Not bad at all at first.. I first thought that i had just over filled the oil and spilled all over, but after checking after my hour long ride today. The oil was off the dipstick again and the smoking was bad. So. Did I run her out of oil and roach something in the motor that it now going to need to he replaced? or am I overlooking what could be something smaller? If I did mess something up, what would it have been, how much is it to replace and how hard to do? I have next to no motor knowledge but I am very skilled bicycle mechanic and am great at using a Google machine and mechanically inclined. And I am a broke college kid so I am hoping it's cheap. The bike has a 640 bore kit so parts won't be oem parts. I love this bike and riding it around but she hasn't been very carefree lately. I am sure that once she gets all the love she has been denied the last 15 years she would be a dream. But getting her there hasn't been fun. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2 |
