Hopefully someone here will see this and like it.

Unknown year seat for an XR. Cover looks excellent! Previous owner gave it to with some parts for my 1983 XL600. It doesn't fit and I don't want to chop it up to attempt to make it fit when a Fellow ADVer can just bolt and go. $30 plus shipping you know thats a steal . Hope fully someone can atleast tell me what year XR it is for?

This is an 84 XR500R seat. You can tell by the fact its a MG3 labeled part and by the XR logo style on the side of the seat cover.

It would fit my bike without any mods and it looks to be in better shape than my other seats. PM sent.

Here is an updated pic of my pig. I know it doesn't look much different from last time, but it is 100% street legal now

Hey is the stock XR600 sprocket bolts a 10mm or 8mm, ive just brought a set and its 8mm and tapered... went back to shop and they say 8mm is stock but im pretty darn sure that stock is 10mm, can anyone verify this so when i go back to the shop i'll either apoligize or keep on swearing

Depends on what year XR600 it is. I know my 88 has a different ID hup hole than the 91- newer as well. Mine is a 130mm where the 91-newer is a 125mm. But as for the bolts I THINK the 91-newer has the 8mm. Either way you can always get some different bolts and or drill out the sprocket holes. I've done both.

Why not just take one of the old bolts in to the parts guys, and ask them for some more of the same only new?

From a 1993 Honda parts fich. No, it doesn't say what the bolt diameter is but it does for the nut:

And why they call it an axle I have no idea.

And the washer:

WASHER (10MM)
