dominator 650 motor in xr600 questions...

....will it fit ? is it a good idea ? anything to watch out for ? battery location, extra wires ?

hope its OK to ask here.

Yes it will be a direct bolt in. The question is where are you going to hang all of the electrical stuff.

...like hanging the battery,extra cables,relays etc. .....change the loom as well ?

oil tubing for cooler type?

quick question what type of oil tubing/hose are you guys with home made oil coolers using?

not braided etc...just high temp fuel hose oil hose type?

Irregardless means the same as regardless, but the negative prefix ir- merely duplicates the suffix -less, and is unnecessary. The word dates back to the 19th century, but is regarded as incorrect in standard English.

Piston Rings

Hi

I broke the 2nd ring on my new 100mm JE Piston . The supplier has sent me a new set , however they're made by Wiseco. Is that OK ? I thought the rings were specific to the piston ??

As long as they're the right width and bore size, they should be fine. Verify the groove side clearance and end gap as per normal engine building procedures.

I have 1 of these conversions , I got it from a rich oil and cattle guy from West Texas that did it back in 89 when he didn't feel like kickin anymore ,

I do believe but not for sure , Scott Summers did this back in the day .


I will see about getting some pics for you over the weekend .

Im back!!!!

after a harsh winter here in south texas on the coast... (mid to upper 50's) i am ready to ride again now that its not so cold :p

i need to put my horn back on and go through my wireing harness and buy a new battery to get my tags renewed. but im BACK!!!
