Um, in pieces . . . the PO never washed the bike and hasn't changed the coolant, plugs or done any other real maintenance (besides the oil and possibly the valves) in the last 15k miles. I tore the whole thing apart and have cleaned it to the bone. The engine looked gray and worn, now it is black and shiny. In the next few weeks I'm going to be lubing the bearings, fork oil, engine oil, valves, coolant, plugs and checking all the other odds and ends. I'm also doing a few upgrades. . . 13w trail tech HID lights (I never thought 13w could be so bright!), Centech board for power, Stebel horn, sold the Givi luggage and bought TT racks to go with my Zegas, Datel voltmeter, cutoff switches for the head lamps, and possibly a slick removable rear rack like Sscratch has on his DRZ.

Should be ready to head to NC two times next year. . . once for the Thumper Thaw and once for the MOA rally. I figure showing up on a Tiger at BMW rallies will get me more looks than my Dakar

I got notice that mine were shipping today. But I'll be out of town for a while so I won't receive them until 12/29. I'll get photos, etc soon after.

Arrived today ...

Just in time for Christmas. I only had time to open one and not much to say about them other than they are heavier than Al's Millennium bags that stood up to a 20 MPH crash saving my leg in the process ... I'll assume this means they'll protect even better. Three boxes neatly and efficiently packed.

Nice looking stuff. Those were my #2 choice for luggage. I decided to go with Caribou because they'll handle getting dumped better I think. On pavement, I'm very experienced. Off pavement, however... well..
