Question Which tires to use?

OK, it's been 1 day but I need some advice. What are the best bang for the buck 60-40 road dirt tires that everyone is using? I need a new rear and after looking at some of the forums, I'm as confused as ever. Now, as I said....bang for the buck!!!! My CBR needs $250.00 rear tires, The KLR doesn't! and with a bunch of toys, house, and kid in hockey, I'm on somewhat of a budget!!! Any advice will be greatly appreciated, and I'll thank you all in advance ...............
....Thank you!

I'm using Mitas and have been happy with them, E-09 rear and C-17 front, around 5000k on them and can probably get another 2-3 out of the rear, and thats a fair bit of pavement too, they grip well. I bought two rears and one front thinking I'd go through the rear quickly but not the case. Got them from Parker Bros, Think about $250 or so out the door for the three tires but can't remember for sure.

I would add a pic but the sites telling me I've uploaded the maximum of one file????

I've had good success with Michelin Sirac's.
They are cheap on Fleabay

The KLR handles badly enough as it is.
Why would you want to make it worse with those POS Kenda's???

I'm gonna have to go with the Kenda's too, just over $100 for the pair can't go wrong

Really liked my MEFO,s so far, lugs fill up pretty quick in the clay around here when its wet, but anything else theyve been great.

Thanks for the feedback. I really looked hard at the Sirac's, but was afraid to get prices (not seen any on e-bay). The Mefo's look great and A Vicious Cycle has them for about 125ish. Kenda is cheap but I have heard of soft knobs making the bike squirm a bit.

Don't worry about the Kenda's had one in the back of the 9fiddy for a while and sticks like a dream, even on wet. Got 5k out of the rear and then Mr.Doughy burned the rest off. Very versatile IMHO and for the money, you can hate them if you want....
