bags/turn signals

Great work ,bike looks great . Would it be possible to show some detail on the mounting racks [where they mount] and the turnsignals. I've got a TU and the E-21s, just wasn't sure how or if I could put them on. CMS

PICS of the BRACKETS

Not finished yet. I have to remove the brackets and the rear subframe, grind (round off) the bottom of the rear mounting brackets, have both powder coated and finalize the routing of the turn signals.

Thumb Tu250x Bobber?

I have the pannier brackets and rear sub frame off for powder coating and in the process I discovered a Bobber lurking beneath.

GEOGATER,
Your bike looks great without the sub frame.
Lose those turn signals and put one of those limp dick tail lights on it and complete the bobber look.

How is starting in this cold weather?

Wondering if current owners could comment on any starting issues they have encountered with the cold.

Does the EFI pretty much allow for trouble free starts?

I find as I get older I've become less tolerant of the cold so would be very unlikely to ride in temps below 30 but from perhaps 35 on up it becomes more reasonable and I've read that many bikes are a bear to start at those temperatures.

Thank you.

Ned

The TU 250 is going to be my girlfriend's first bike. Only problem is we live in CA, where you can't buy a TU 250 due to some f'd up regulation. Sure, you can buy a Hummer to commute on, but a TU 250 is illegal to sell or buy new here because it doesn't meet emissions requirements. CA SUCKS!

So does anyone out of state have one for sale? If so, shoot me a PM please.

Cold Start

Went to the gargage and started the TU250. It was in the low 20's outside and not much warmer in the garage. The bike started with no problem. Oh yea this is Florida so anything below 80 is sweater weather.

Got the parts back from powder coating today will get the bags back on the bike asap.

I love the style of the TU250 and took a test ride. IMHO the looks are the only good part on this bike. I know it is a 250 but it was truly gutless and stalled at every stoplight. It also felt about 3/4 size. I would be interested in a larger version.

If you find one it HAS to have 7500+ miles for you to register it in CA.

Check your DMV for reference.

Either you don't know how to ride or some thing was wrong with the TU you rode if it stalled at every stoplight.

Man I keep having bad thoughts about one of these bikes. Dunno why, but something about it makes me either want to turn it into a cafe style bike and do some track days for cheap or turn it into a scrambler and ride the world. Also can't help but think a real muffler and getting rid of the air box, along with a fuel controller if needed since it has an o2 sensor, would certainly help it on the power front. Can you get different sprockets for it? Really hard to beat the price for a new bike, especially with fuel injection.
