agreed on the front brake. between compression braking and the rear drum, it can still stop rather quickly though....light weight has its advantages

One of my buddies got this shot of my bike last weekend; makes me smile everytime i look at it

However how many new bikes can you find for $3799. And nearly new versions will probably be found for under $2000, much less than you are likely to find a Blackbird or VFR in working condition.

Sorry about that.

I'm still wanting a TU. Patient, likely to buy next spring.

This year I think to pick up another SRX250. I miss the one I sold a while ago into Mid Ohio swap meet. I liked it even better than the SRX6.

I can see the TU as a cafe styled setup from Suzuki, with 4 more HP and lower bars and longer seat and even more vestigial passenger acommodations.

Just got a TU a week and a half ago. It really reminds me of how the CB worked, without the problems of the 1973 360 deciding to kill itself at the most inopportune moments. Still in break-in period, but looking forward to taking it on Hwy 66 and Dead Indian Rd (Klamath County). So far, I love it!

Regards,

Lee

Finally saw a TU250 last week and had a chance to sit on her. Really nice bike, reminded me of the UJMs I had in the 70's. I could see owning one of these!

Awesome pic. If the car was out of it and it had a little sepia tone, it could pass for an antique photo.

MagyarMan, the Givi A200 or A210 appear to be the one's i've seen most often.

Check out this Google group for some options:

I have added the Givi A620 windshield. Look back a couple of pages for pictures.

J.T.,
The A620 seems to be taller and may be a better fit for my long body. Thanks.

hey guys. i recently started a photoblog that's dedicated to my tu250 (mostly just my philly tag-o-rama photos). this bike goes anywhere and does anything. i plan on updating this site regularly for as long as this thing is running; hopefully it'll persuade more people to get one and then we can start to see some real aftermarket for it. :)

http://tu250.tumblr.com/

some numbers: i'm 5'10" and weigh 130lbs. top speed for me is 85mph, full throttle (and full smile), sitting upright; not hunched over. during break-in i got no less than 65 mpg with just myself, and no less than 60 mpg with my 115lb girlfriend on the back. currently have 1200 miles on the bike and gas mileage keeps improving. i can tell i'm filling it up less often now but i haven't measured yet.

i ride this thing throughout inner city philadelphia and on interstate 95 with no problems at all.

Theres some great shots in there!

My best actual-mpg so far has been 79....i'm 5'10, 180 pounds. I've hit an indicated 80mph but I highly doubt it was actually doing 80 hahaha.
