From an email I got yesterday.
"Currently Renazco Racing is working on introducing a new model seat which will expedite lead times to within one week from date of order. You can check back with us in late July or we can schedule your seat build now for October." Hmmmmmmmmm..........................

Seat Concepts?
I was wondering if anyone has tried this seat.
http://seatconcepts.art.officelive.com/BMW.aspx it looks like it has a decent shape and is fairly inexpensive.

I have had the stock seat for just over a year. Supposedly it breaks in and gets better as time goes by. Well my butt is here to tell you that it does not. The seat just plain sucks and something like 1% of riders are in the contrary opinion to mine. Not sure how they can be contrary due to the slope of the seat - maybe they are super tall and sit on the back.
The seat is on my list before my TAT run in early Sept. PS what would be really neat is that somebody made a new seat pan, something that improves underseat storage while flattening the seat profile. Adding a pile of foam to flatten the seat seems unproductive to me given the poor amount of on-bike storage. Imagine most of your tools fitting under the seat. Maybe I will try and mod a fibreglass seat pan... |

Still loving my XPC over a year and a half later. It's faded a bit now due to being in the sun so much but there ya go...

It was a long time waiting in the que, but I finally got my first ever Renazco seat overhaul back. Immediately took it on a 2200 mile, nonstop journey to the Rocky Mountains and back, with zero "break-in time".
Result.......Unbelievably Good! How does James Renazco do this? I donno. Worth every penny and every day of waiting. I've heard about it for years, and can say it's as good as claimed. Spent over 13 hours in saddle first day pounding down the slab. Didn't even think about the seat until 8 hours into the ride. That's when I remembered to "feel" how it felt. and it was all good. WOW is all I can say. HF

Recently with my stock seat I took a 3 day 900 mile trip, and on the 3rd day I was having to stand up and/or stop every 40-ish miles. I absolutely had to force myself to go another mile at times because the stock seat was KILLING ME. I already had my order placed for the Renazco so I emailed them and told them that my expectations were extremely high after the 900 mile trip. Anything is better than stock, but I have very high hopes and I am looking fwd to getting my new seat.
