Thanks for this post! I was about to buy a Touratech locally but I don't care for the colour. I can tell it's similar and the Touratechs are nice fit and finished compared to some others. Where is Kadedo located?

Kahedo

Kahedo is located south of Stuttgart in Baden Württemberg / Southwest Germany.
Talk to Monika Dorn, I think she is the daughter of the founder.

Gotta say I haven't had a single comfort issue since getting the OEM Comfort seat. It's ridiculously good compared to the stock one.

Deciding between a Sargent and the BMW Comfort Seat -- what's your weight, height, inseam? It seems like seat comfort is dependent on one's build. I think the custom guys want that info. I'm figuring folks with similar builds might have similar reactions to a seat. Might!

I'm 6' tall 29" inseam, weigh around 170 without gear. I just wanted something "ASAP"....there are custom seats that are the same price or even cheaper but it would be weeks of waiting...and I'm pretty happy. Turns it from a dual sport seat into a normal seat.

Thanks -- I'm an inch shorter, 30 inch inseam and similar weight so maybe that's the seat for me!

The seat is relatively new and not too expensive ($360 delivered) so I want to try it before shipping off a spare seat to Russell Day Long for a long distance seat. The issue with Russell is the seats really work (1500 mile day with no butt complaints) however it would probably be pretty ugly on a F800GS.

Saddlemen does not require your seat pan, so you have two seats.

Here's a forum thread about it.

Here's a link to the adventure seat line at Saddlemen.

Will post a ride report once I get it.

Anyone have one of these ? -- claims to be in stock now.

Bitchin' Stitchin' - Lakewood, Colorado

I was unhappy with my standard seat after riding to Guatemala and back.

I took it to a Denver suburb and had Bitchin' Stitchin' shave a bunch off change the slide forward and implant a gel pad.

They did the mod while I was there and made an initial assessment with me sitting on the bike (no stand) and then had me periodically get back on to see how the fit was coming out. They did an excellent job!

It now is much more comfortable, better maneuverability and only cost a little over $200.

Very satisfied.

The 2013 I bought had the comfort seat on it and I like it. I'm about 6' and 200# with a 30" inseam.

I also have the custom seat... love it

Could not take the "low" seat for more than an hour. I actually lowered my suspension all around with the Hyperpro springs and the comfort seat is about an inch higher than the stock low seat so my net gain was an inch for my 30" inseam. So far so good . I have done a 1500 mile 4 day ride and the comfort seat was awesome.. my .02
