66nm IIRC. Check the adv spec thread. I looked it up for Rob IIRC.

EDIT: Check here: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showt...=383693&page=5 Beginning with post 73.

F650gs Twin Cracked Gas Tank

I have a 2009 F650gs Twin, which is my second one this year. On the first bike I found that the gas tank had cracked on the fill side. Apparently they are cracking along the seam. My first bike was replaced, as no one had ever seen it before. I picked up the new bike 3 weeks ago. Now it too has a cracked gas tank. Neither of these bikes were dropped. It appears to be a defect in materials and/or design. Has anyone else seen this problem. At the international rally in Johnson City I found 11 other bikes with the same problem, so check your bikes......

There is a thread on it here:

http://f800riders.org/forum/showthread.php?t=30073

Do you have any details on VIN range that might be involved?

I just inspected my tank, and ... I do not see any visible cracks.... so far...

I would think that replacing the tank would not be a fun job on these bikes...

Thanks for the post!
Jim

That's rich. I need to train mine to do that. Oh wait... don't have any. I had a dog once that would get a beer from the fridge. Maybe i can train the dog to open the gayrodge.

Shout Out

Now I don't have one of those fancy garage door openers per post # 36(tried to get one today at Home Depot, they looked at me sideways, like your dawg does when you say "Get the kitty" and sent me home.

However I need to do a shout out to let y'all know that ADV Spec rocks. I ordered the crash bars and had them at my door 3 days later......and I don't live in Merry "Ol England, I live in "it's a dry heat" Tucson AZ USA

I had a question before I ordered and had my e mail aswered straight away. I ordered them and they fit great, easy to install, look awesome etc.

Nice job

Wildman, here's another thread to add to the ergos file, these risers were designed with the F800/650 with ABS in mind:

How about a vendor link for F800Depot.com?

It's the worlds largest e-commerce site geared only for the F800. 135 items for the F800GS and climbing. :)

Being the only e-commerce site geared only for the F800, isn't it also the worlds smallest.

Link done!
