09 1200GS engine stumbles

When I blip the throttle and then immediately roll on, the engine almost backfires or outright dies. Very alarming like when coming to a quick stop on the freeway! Dealer never really found anything or corrected problem. Any ideas for a fix?

It sounds like the symptoms I experienced on my '09 when a lambda sensor failed.

Stop blipping the throttle! This is not a Harley!

Seriously, no need! Beyond that, it should not die. How does it run otherwise?

It still falters occasionally. When you least expect it or want it.
