question on LC4 site glass on rt side...

I do not understand...the site glass on the rt hand side of a LC4 eng ('02 model)
shows you the timing mark on the wheel. (for I learned this when adjusting valves) What I don't understand, is this a oil wet area as well? I could not find in my book what this is actually for. Reason I ask, is that when eng runs there is oil present (bubbling). I assumed this was for an oil site glass but I am not sure. Excuse me for being behind the curve with this and your information is welcome. Thx, Greg

Think that is ok - mine is goobered up alot as well. luckly creeper taught us the soda straw test of TDC so I don't have to see thru it anyways.

If it isn't ok, then this is a bookmark when someone who knows WTF they are talkin about shows up.

"EASY CHECKS. Clutch cover inspection glass makes oil level checks a Breeze."

Picture shows window on Left side of engine. TDC inspection glass on right side of engine.

Yes, is there suppose to be oil splashing on the sight glass that you see the TDC mark?
