*EDIT: Thank God I wasn't stupid enough to try and take the GS today. I had a ball trying to keep up with Dan while running the Chester Dakar and then we headed over to Forest Hill. That is some seriously good riding 30 minutes from home! I was still running the worn out street tire so I was all over the place, including a impressive get off into a rut and a stall/tip over in some stinky mud that soaked my left sock...nice. Back home safe, going online to order a real skidplate and some lowering dogbones for the DRZ. We need to get a group out there, it would be so much fun to chase each other around. It's technical in there with a nice mix of single track, mud, sand and some steep climbs and decents, with deep ruts thrown in to make you pucker up a bit!
We saw a guy who crashed his bike who was really hurt and had to be rescued and carried out by his buddies in a Range Rover.

Yeah Eddy, good time! Far as I'm concerned that's about max possible fun for minimum time investment. Let's rally some troops and do it again soon. I'll bring a camera next time if you're gonna keep doing those photo ops.

You guys rode past us, I had the YZ250, Dave had his RM250 and Jeff was on his DRZ. Dave and I have been 'training' for Harescrambles there for the past year or so and have cut in two 5 mile loops, one on each side of the Chippenham. You see all kinds of bikes / quads / trucks....you name it.

Brenda ..... very nice ! You have some great photos there. Im still waiting to see the video.

My jump was not as exciting. Elizabeth and I exited the Twin Otter sit flying. We stayed together for a few seconds then we chased each other across the sky doing flips and rolls. It was great to be back in the air after 1 1/2 years. Just like riding a bike.

Mike and Dan .... Im off Monday and Tuesday. Lets go. Its got to be a lot less crowded during the week.

Brenda, that's very cool. Judging by that big grin guessing this won't be a one and done.

BlueNun, y'all were standing right out front when we rode in? I remember waving to a couple dirtbikers there, I didn't get a close look at the bikes. Seems like one guy had on a black/orange jersey w/ short dark hair, was that one of your group.

Michhub, by all means bring the 990.. and I'm definitely bringing a camera.

chuck, I work mon-wed. Fridays going to be my next chance to play.

Guy- Thats my brother and his family, my sister and her family, mom, dad, my kids, Nicole's father, aunt & uncle and their family, one of her brothers and his girl friend. If her other 5 siblings and her mom were coming, imagine that mess.

My whole family are from the north and her's are from the south. When her father called to say he was coming, he said,"damn it will be like the civil war with all those yankees around!"

Brenda- that looked like so much fun!!! Nicole was like, when do I get to go......Glad to see you had a good time...

Had a great ride with the RBMWRC today. Put about 200 twisty miles on the Adventure. Jeff thanks for the help with the CRF230 carb. After you and Teresa left I took it for a test ride and it performed flawlessly...15 minutes worth of work...priceless. Can't wait to take it out to Foresthill. Sounds like Eddy and Dan had a blast. Chuck and Brenda, great pix.

Congrats Brenda! What a ear to ear grin! Glad you are back safe on terra firma.

Chuck, about those crazy looking, padded leather condoms on your heads... Are they actually supposed to help in any way at all if you smack into the ground at 122+ mph from 5,000 feet? LOL!

If I stay in town this weekend, I'm in for a DS ride on either Friday or Sat! I'll be sure to have on a new rear tire by then!

Jeff- Crazy luck on the brake line...second time in the last 2 months I've seen or heard of one blowing at a safe point.

Nicole's front brake line blow on our way back from Scottsville...we had put 300 miles on that day & we were talking at a light in Richmond, when she started rolling. She was hollering "NO BRAKES NO BRAKES". Good thing we were stopped. Easy ride back on 60 at 11 pm but hers blow mid line not even at a junction...
