![]() "much worse" is a relative thing sort of.... the first time is the worst one, I recall the first time I pulled plastic on my 86.... it took a while.... but after you do it a few times, and install those Murph's hex screws, using an electric screwdriver and bit has them out in 5 minutes flat..... ![]() First valve adjust was a 4 hour adventure on the old conni, got it down to a 1 hour job after owning it for a few years.... Well we ended up stopped at Degoff's and Green Top today. DeGoff's is a nice place, lots of shotguns and quite a few revolvers. Couldn't find anything that I couldn't live without. They did have a Glock 36 that is on my short list and it was $30 cheaper than I saw it for here locally.
Ended up stopping at Green Top as well. I just wanted to see if they had any powder and ended up scoring 8 pounds of WST, glad to find something that I could use in stock. Hit James River Cellars, Grayhaven and Byrd vineyards, nice places all. Had a good day, no riding but was a nice sunny day to get out with the little lady and the Audi. The TT is almost as much fun on a back road as the Wee!

That's not from ethanol. I had my pump out 2 years ago to try and pop a dent in my tank and the pump looked brand new.
Someone had water in their tank. A lot of water.

Probably just spent a winter outdoors with a near empty tank. Continuous condensation conundrum on the Connie.

New GS
Last night I sold my GS. I was sad all day waiting for the new owner to show up, but once she was on his trailer, I was excited about hunting for something new. Less than an hour later, I saw this in Fredericksburg and pounced like a hungry Jaguar!
http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=861768 I picked her up today, she is by far the cleanest used bike I have ever purchased. It came with over $5500 in the exact farkles I would have wanted, a two inch thick folder with reciepts for every single service, warranty repair, farkle, original brochure and installation manuals for the farkles. The best part is that it only has 7500 miles and it is still under warranty until July of 2015! I can't wait to take it out and see how she looks with mud all over her! ![]() More pictures:http://bmwgscott.smugmug.com/Motorcycles/2009-F800gs/27923702_LKDdZW#!i=2356743500&k=WBWSJR7&lb=1&s=X2 My boots came in too! They are SWEET! Yesterday was Morton's BMW Chili Cookoff. By the time I got there, most of the chili was gone but the deals were still going strong! I picked up a new Gerbings jacket liner and glove liners at 20% off!

Stock vs Akropovic, sounds sexy and not loud at all! It might even be quieter, but deeper! I never would have paid $650 for a titanium slip-on pipe no matter how light, how good it sounded or how much power it gives!

Also, as it pertains to my house, I have to say Harbor Freight saved the day. 300 or so in tools, and a couple of hours this morning and I had the sewer line cleared. It looks like there is just one spot with roots. I'll be using so e Roots regularly to keep those under control. Pretty sure the plumbers were looking for a sucker to snooker 8 grand from.
