Cool, thanks. Looks like there is one actually in Fredericksburg in September.

Okay Zumo experts...

how do I permanently get rid of (or reset) the "blue track spatter" that shows up in my "home" opening screen?

I can make it go away by hiding the Trip Log, but if I make it visible again it comes back. Dhoo!

I have tried deleting the trip data, but it did nothing.

I'd call Garmin and ask for tech support...those guys should know how. I had to do something similar with my boat's Lowrance Elite 5 DSI GPS/Chartplotter/Fishfinder.

Hasn't caused any problems, so it's more annoying than anything. If there is a way of making it go away I'd be happy.

You need to delete the track log.

Trip data, odometer, max speed, moving time, is different stuff.

Is that accessible through the normal screens? Haven't seen any reference to track log.

???

Try this.

tools...user data...manage trip log..clear this log

To hide it... tools....map...you will see on the 4th line trip log. Then hit the visible button and change it to hide

Lemme know if that works.

That did it.

Not the exact screen names you'd mentioned, but it worked.

Thank you!

I can't help more than that. I'm still using a 478 which has the old interface.

I'm a bit late to the conversation, but would recommend Shopcraft as Soulcraft by Crawford. He's a Richmonder and it is a much easier read than Pirsig.
