Was going to suggest that too.

I have some 1" x 1" x 1/8" thick aluminum angle that would probably work perfectly. Be glad to whack off a 1" length for ya.

Don't think I'd drill a hole in my swingarm for a non-essential item like chain fling guard.

If you were going to cobble something up with cabinet hardware, his original jbweld idea may actually work since you'd have some decent surface area to work with.
