I think I took off that day. Either way, I think my command is going to switch my days for better coverage of production. I'll let you guys know.
" better coverage of production"- Does that mean he/she is going to give you Friday's off since you never work Friday's anyway??? I swear that every time I talk to you "Friday off" comes up. <- The green with envy emoticon...I would like to work 4- 12 hour shifts with three day weekends. 2 day weekends are like going out to eat and just getting an appetizer.

She does not fight fair so it is harder to pull off a win than you may expect. It is also hard to win an argument where logic and reason have no weight. Darn woman thinks all I do is ride and that I ride all the time. I have had the Tiger a year now. It has <6,200 miles on it. By the book it would be due for its first oil change. Jeff and Chuck will rack those miles up this month. I wish I rode as much as she thinks I do. Oh, and I have couch to sleep on.

Keep them sufficiently aggravated JUST to the point they want to see you out of the house.

Fine line, but achievable.

Never have that issue with the current wife, she wants me to be happy. With my Ex, I operated under the principle that she was going to be pissed off no matter what I did, so I would just do what I wanted regardless.

Unrelated topic: Anyone use the Gopro Cineform studio app? I had to download it to upgrade the firmware on my camera and figure I might as well try it for editing.

Hey this is getting good. and docW too.

I talked to Chuck earlier, who btw is also a good Candidate for the Chuck Norris badass of RIC award. Anyway, he was on I70 somewhere between KC and StL. 3800 miles on his Karoo and it's pretty shot with > 1000 to go. Have to pick up a tire somewhere tomorrow.

He thought we were talking about camping this weekend, but I told him it was next.. Said if anybody is going camping in the mountains or WV this weekend, post up your plans and he might catch up with you tomorrow evening on his way back.

Between my shift work (1 weekend a month off) and family stuff planned for the next few months I'll be stuck riding local at least until the kids are back in school.

Anyone here ride the Shenandoah 500? Good / Bad?

It was on my to do list last year but fell through at the last min. Wifey is demanding to camp with me If I go ~ so if that is what it takes... I might just pull it off.

Coming over the Ophir Pass this morning. It was the easiest of them all, but still 11.6k. Very rocky.

Tonight we are in Moab. May try something stupid in the morning.

Taking the high roads

Today we turned over 4000 miles. Been on the road 19 days now. Yesterday we did the Alpine Loop from Lake City to Ouray. Took 3.5 hours to go 32 miles. 3 passes over 12,000 ft, mainly 1st gear all day.

I-70, yeah I heard that's tough too. ;-)

Chuck, get home safely man. It was truly epic to see you riding down the street in Trinidad. And thanks for getting that rear tire for us too. Too bad I can't return the favor right now. I'm buying when we get back.

Adventure

Hey Jeff,
Don't worry about me. I'm almost home. Only 900 more miles to go. You guys keep safe and continue on. Epic will not explain your adventure. You are doing something most of us only dream about. The most important thing is for you and Joe to stay healthy. Stay focused, be strong and have fun.
