Thanks Allen. Info much appreciated!

Jersey Mark is moving back to Jersey next month. I'm going to miss picking him up from the side of the road. Get a ride in with him before he moves if you can. He really does have a nice S10. And it's true, he was at the back of the pack.

A buddy from Portsmouth and I did about 600 miles Wednesday and Thursday. Left the fire station in Portsmouth Wed morning after work and took rt460 out toward Bedford. Jumped on the Blue Ridge and onto several Fire Roads off of it. Also did the South Pedlar ATV system off of 130 near 501. Not the best idea on stock 9000 mile old Battle Wings, after a fresh rain, but all ended well with no get offs. Fire Road 812 off of the Parkway has Awesome views! Headed toward Monterey up rt 39 from Lexington. At the peak of rt 39, the snow started. It snowed its butt off from the peak of 39, all the way to Monterey on rt 220 then back this side of the mountains on 250. Kinda sucked the fun out of a great road, but was still a good time. We then explored a few dirt roads off of 250 in the GW nat'l Forest. Have no idea what they were as we saw no markings, but one dead end road involved a few small creek crossings. Great Fun![/URL]

21F this morning. 15 riders manned up and rode. All returned more or less in one piece.

I shouldn't have looked at this. I should be there. This is a great group of riders.

Great ride today and my bike now has a few battle scars. Thanks for all the hospitality Jeff and the RVA crew!

A little chilly this morning but an awesome ride and a most gracious host.

Learning lots from experienced riders and taking in Jeff's TAT video.

Had a great ride but wish you had made it. I was lucky enough to get the tracks in my GPS so we can hit it again another day.

Eh? Farewell Richmond

So my lovely wife just graduated from civil affairs on Friday. She now had orders to stand up a new unit in the lovely Fort Bliss, Tejas. We gotta be in Tejas by the beginning of December. It's been fun riding and eating with y'all. If any of you end up in El Paso for some reason ,probably because you got lost, then hit me up if you need to crash in the spare bedroom, eat, or need help wrenching on your bike. Thanks again for putting up with me and take her sleezy.

And manganos, get another Ktm so we can ride!

@ Sandman -- W. Texas is great country, and puts you a heck of a lot closer to even greater country, just ask Michhub. You guys will have a good time.

@ DLJocky -- thanks again for letting me test your Vstrom (and meanwhile entertaining my pup!) -- the seat time was highly useful as I sort out what next.

Will do! It's been a blast. I know I don't always check in to post and was out of the saddle for too long. It's been a memorable experience hanging with y'all.

Hey Brenda. I keep hearing about this Mitchhub character but have yet to meet him. I was stationed in centra Texas for a few years and went to the field in white sands,nm. Which is just outside El Paso. Great high speed desert riding which is more my speed.
