Was it him?

As I was drifting off to sleep the other night I could have sworn I had the announcer saying that Eddy Alvarez was coming up in the next short track speed skating event at the Olympics.

Has anyone seen Eddy lately? Does he have a secret life? It kinda scared me to think about him in a one-piece, skin-tight lycra suit..... so I didn't open my eyes to watch.

WRX? that's what all the male hairdressers drive isn't it? (get it? good offense / best defense )

Believe it or not they do make trailer hitches for miatas. a very light dirt bike on a very light trailer is about all I'd go for.

It is common knowledge that male hairdressers drive Miatas.

(says the guy with the 2008 Miata in the garage)

Raceratb Replacement Cailbrated Speedometer Faces

We have "Group Buy" working on Stromtroopers Forum. All V-Strom DL-650 (2004-2011) and DL-1000 owners are welcome to participate. It involves simply replacing the stock speedometer face with a face correctly calibrated. Takes just a few minutes. The V-Strom speedometer is optimistic by 8%. An indicated 60 is actually a true 54 mph, 70 is a true 64 as measured by GPS.
Just $40 for a simple cosmetic fix. It makes no mechanically changes and the odometer remains 98% accurate. Do yourselves a favor and take a few minutes to check it out.

Here's a link to the Group buy on Stromtrooper:

Thank God I had already finished my coffee before logging on, my wife and kids came running to see why I was laughing out loud! My wife thought the SOLAS comment was spot on! No, definitely no speed skating for me as skin tight Lycra and I don't mix well.
There is also a Eddie Alvarez, in the MMA world. For the longest time I couldn't figure out why people looked at me funny when I showed up for sparring and BJJ grappling as Eddy Alvarez. I guess that would be the same as a 44 year old dad showing up in the novice group at a VIR track day and saying his name is 'Valentino Rossi".
