I hope some of you guys will go visit him. He is in Johnston Willis, but Greg could give you better information. I'm about ready to leave town so I won't be able to visit him.

Heal fast Guy! Dirtdoctor, thanks for visiting him!

That's great news. I am planning on going by to visit him tomorrow afternoon. He was on the second floor of the Johnston-Willis Main Hospital. When you exit the elevators turn right then next left into Neurosciences ICU and he was in the first room on the right once you passed the nurses station. If he is moved out of ICU he will be in a different room. I would suggest asking at the information desk when you first enter the main hospital. The lady at the info desk was very helpful in giving me his location the other night.

2013 Suzuki Vstrom 650 ready for Flea market

Good day all,
I'm getting ready to put my 2013 Suzuki Vstrom 650 on Flea market.
I'm hoping someone here wants it or knows someone who wants it.
Very low miles, 2,530. Pretty much like brand new.

OEM center stand, Madstad adjustable windscreen and bracket.
Galfer extended front brake lines and Rox 3 inch pivot bar risers.
Garmin 2610 gps and a Kriega 20 liter waterproof tail bag.
The bike rides very nice and get's great mpg.
Local credit union has the loan, but they can get the title the same day it's paid off. If interested, please contact me.

$5,700
Thanks
Shannon

Of course Guy is recovering ahead of schedule. Keep it up Guy!

re: Shannon's Vstrom, I (among probably a number of others) can vouch for its pristine condition. GLWS Shannon!

re: post-puffback cleanup/repair/replace fun, the fun continues. All I can say is: 1) thank all things holy for a good insurance policy, but even so 2) either the universe got it wrong and thinks I can ride a new boiler/etc. to Nova Scotia this summer, or it is suggesting I forgo riding another season to spend the better part of six months in town training toward a full marathon (less expensive than a new bike). No downside either way, but I might have to figure out another strategy to feed the wanderlust in 2014.

That is outright amazing. I said there's no way this guy is about to do a backflip, then boom.

Mostly Cycle World and Motorcyclist, but also a year of Sport rider and a bunch of random ones. I was going to throw them out but if anyone is interested you can have them if you pick them up in Mechanicsville.

Also have a whole bunch of Guitar World magazines from about 1998 to 2004, in case anyone is interested in that.

Good luck with the hunt.. If you have more or specific questions on the area fire away.

If you missed the judgmental map of richmond in RVA magazine it is surprisingly close...if a bit offensive....

Did you move recently? I thought you lived between "Your Boss" and "active white people with canoes and crocs" which is just north of "brave white people"

This only confuses me more. My canoe is out back (under 2' of snow) and my fluffy crocs (1 pair fluffy for the cold, 1 pair plain for the warm) are on my feet, but I got guns too. Given the choice however I would pick a spot near 'strippers' but need to run it by the boss first.. (Can someone tell me how often they're washing cars in g strings?)

Regardless thanks for the feedback and PMs! As we hone in on something I'll fire back again...

You guys gettin some snowy mess down there today or what? Should melt off for tomorrow. Lookin forward to 45* here tomorrow, god damn heat wave! Enough ice gone from the end of the driveway I might even unearth the moto and go for a rip!

That map is extremely accurate, except for the "Gay Dads" part. :-)

One Less Car On The Road

Seems my wife took a dislike to her car this morning ... and totaled it.

She's fine, BTW. Very sore.

She was driving out 64 very early this AM to work, cruise control set, when she hit black ice. Did at least two spins, touched her brakes, and launched into the woods. After crossing over a concrete ditch first. She actually had to back out of the trees to get her door open.

The car, (my old beloved Mercedes!), is probably a "total loss". The whole front end is seriously tweaked. The convertible hard top is pretty misaligned. And the sideways winching from the trees, up the embankment, and onto the roll off probably didn't help either. Dude didn't put it in neutral, so the back wheels weren't helping him. Ass. :-(

Anyway, just thought I'd share my morning. When my wife called me, I was very much still asleep in bed. And my poor brain couldn't understand her. I thought she was telling me she was stuck in traffic because of an accident. Which was kinda, almost the case. Took me a few to realize Rescue Rick was needed.

They actually gave her a ticket for "failure to control". Not sure how you're supposed to control black ice, but whatever.
