I spoke with Guy this morning. He sounded a little gruff and grumpy like he usually does. He is tired and said that he is also a bit uncomfortable. He was also "complimenting" the "delicious" food in the ICU that is giving him some reflux. I offered to smuggle in some greasy food and a few Yuengling; but then I knew that he really didn't feel well when he said "no thanks" so I told him to please let us know if he needed anything and ended the call.

Get well soon Guy!

Andrew, looking forward to seeing the video on my phone, evil server at work won't let me watch it here!
Gruff and grumpy is a good sign that's how us, I mean old mechanics are. I am looking forward to sitting around and bitching about stuff with him soon. AB:-)

Thanks for the update DirtDoctor. You know it's driving him nuts having to have someone else fix something for him.

Sounds like an SUV T-boned her ~~~ sorry, not much on the crash details yet.

Medical = left BKA tomorrw. i had to look that up.
Below the knee amputation.

~ she is amazingly upbeat about the entire thing.

and a funny from her husband, Proof that Amber is secretly Wonder Woman: Laying in ditch with injuries that would lay low any of us she then sends a text to Coleman (her son) to let him know she can not pick up him up on time.

This should not be possible.

Thanks so much for all of your thoughts and prayers. I am so humbled by all of the love y'all have sent my the last couple of days. I am so truly grateful to be alive and to have so many people caring for me. I am more awake today and the pain is a little better. The SUV crushed my leg in many places and I will require another surgery and likely a BKA tomorrow. I want to thank you all again. You are all so precious to me. I'll be fighting back soon. I'll keep you updated. On the bright side, I've gotten more sleep in the last couple of days than I've had all month!!! Thanks a love to all of you!

I have no words to accurately describe how loved and supported I've felt. I want to thank you all for your prayers and visits and calls and kindness. I will be getting a left BKA tomorrow. It is a difficult decision but the one that will allow me to be most functional. Poor Jared has been through so much lately. Please lift him and the boys up as well. I have been so richly blessed with love, prayer, and deeply disturbing nurse humor. Lol. I love all of you. Each message and comment lifts my spirits and helps me to continue to be humbled by my blessings in life. I will post an update when I have gotten out of surgery and am somewhat conscious. Many many thanks to everyone! Time to move forward!

Sad to hear about any accident, but her resilience is inspirational. Thanks for the update Whit.

Sounds like she's got a great attitude about everything. Sad to hear she's having to go through this.

Very sorry to hear. Sounds like she is a best case for strong spirit/character/attitude to deal with it though. If I were ever in a spot like that only hope that I could be half that positive about it.

Best wishes to her and her family.

Went to Morton's to hear Rene Cormier speak about his four-plus years riding around the globe. Entertaining speaker, good tips. Naturally, the Dakar that took him some 95,000 miles was on display. Love the art the bike picked up along the way.

Just saw on Facebook

that Guy has escaped from the hospital. Give him a bit before you hit him up for repairs and tire changes.

LOL!, please.

Finally got home from the hospital yesterday. This has not been one of the funnest things I have ever done. Gonna take a bit of time for full recovery.
