That can help too. Holding the caliper up while sqeezzing the brake lever is not hard. Its loosening and then tightening the bleed screw with the hand holding the caliper.

Actually I stacked boxed to put the caliper on. Then noticed I could have used my bicycle repair stand. The clamp could hold the caliper.

Since you guys are talking about Stonewall Jackson,I recently found out one of my great grandfathers was with the troops responsible for shooting him. Shot by friendly fire.
Lt. Evander Robeson with the NC 18th regiment. There's a marker with his picture at Pamplin Park.

Sounds like a great ride, wish I could've gotten in on it too. Maybe next time.

very good suggestions have been posted!!!

but they seemed to miss a ride down Monument Ave to check out the statues, from A. Ashe to J.E.B. Stuart. Do it from west to east and continue on Franklin to the Capitol.

pick up a copy of Style Weekly magazine for foodie places to eat. or check out Style on line if you cannot find a hard copy. http://www.styleweekly.com/default.asp

*Shameless plug*

If you'd rather check out a magazine that deals a lot more in food than Style weekly check out mine. Go to www.richmondnavigator.com. There are three magazines on there that I publish, but for you I would click on West Ends Best. Read the latest issue. There's a whole dining section with lots in there. The West Ends Best side deals with more of the western part of Richmond. The River City part will show you more of what's in the city. Hope this helps.

Also, now that I'm thinking about it, you mentioned local breweries. I know I gave you a couple here, and we've recommended riding 56 out to crabtree falls and the mountains. Right where 56 crosses 151, if you stay on 151 you will pass 3 amazing breweries and a cidery. Devils Backbone, then Bold Rock, then Wild Wolf, the Blue Mountain. May make a nice day trip.

Remove caliper. Squeeze lever a little. Not too much as you don't want to push the picton all the way out. Then push in with c-clamp. Put pice of plastic or leather or fiber board on caliper outside so protect finish. Oh skip this its a dual sport.

Pump the brake lever a bunch of times and the caliper piston will pump out. Don't pump it out too much though as it'll blow completely out of the caliper. Then squeeze the pumped out piston with your fingers to compress it back into the caliper which will force the fluid back up into the master cylinder. If you can't squeeze the piston in by hand, use a c-clamp or something like it.
