Glad you're okay.

What The Rest Of You Missed

Chuck's floppy foreskin of a brat.

This is at 6:30. Half gone. By 11, a new bottle had to be tapped.

Nice spot to pitch a hammock.

The road up.

Chair fall 2 of 3. Look close, see the stump and rock? There is a stump on the left side as well, even closer to his head. Damn lucky he fell where he did. Oh yea, that's Chuck holding the power of the sun on him.

Scat camp

I officially turn over the Kraken fall award to Matt. The biggest guy in the smallest chair resulted in multiple tumbles to the ground. Like Rick said, look at the two stumps and rock his head barely missed. One more Kracken tragedy avoided.

Thanks Rick, Matt, Macon and Dave for a great time. The weather was perfect and a great time was had by all. Despite the amount of Kraken consumed by the group it was a very quite, calm and enjoyable evening sitting around the fire sharing stories, some I wish I had never heard.

Dont think the event was all Kraken. We enjoyed hundreds of miles of pavement, gravel and dirt before the epic dinner and fire. On the way home we also got to initiate Matt to the first Shoe Creek crossing which resulted in everyone getting wet trying to get him out.

Thanks again everyone.

Macon and I both have Jacks R Better hammocks. My first hammock overnight. I have some bugs to work out but I think Im going to enjoy it.

I hope Macon has a chance to post the video of my successful unassisted crossing of Shoe Creek. I knew before the turn off Alahambra that he and Chuck were conspiring to fill my boots with water.

The chair is great. The operator...not so much. Great time guys. Thanks again for having me out.

Thai Siam on Hwy 56 just east of 151 is in the area. Todd, Nick and I ate there a couple weeks ago. Awesome food! The little Asian lady is kind of different but once she warms up to you she is fairly friendly. Service is kind of slow so expect to be there awhile but the food is worth it.

It's my failed joke.

I stopped through your campsite in the middle of last week and left her menu under a little rock in a plastic baggie. I also wrote "ADV" in sticks.. Must have gotten blown away in all the storms.

I agree, she's good food, in an unexpected spot. I'd driven by her for years before I finally decided to see if it was legit. I couldn't imagine there would be decent Thai in the middle of nowhere. I was wrong for sure.

Ms. Mae is absolutely hilarious. When I was seeing a girl down in Nelson she'd regularly bring back Thai for dinner. Some of her famous quotes include "I don't have time to make you Thai tea too busy have Pepsi" or "You know if you want dumplings you order before 2pm". She just got back from her yearly visit home for a month so I'm glad you were able to experience it first hand.

Chuck burned the menu...3 coke bottles, 1 bag of chips, a chair, a styrofoam sausage pack, and a handful of other items.

Boon Booni ......
Now I get it. When we rolled in we saw the menu in the Baggie. Someone even joked about calling in an order. That was clever. We never saw the ADV in sticks but we certainly used the sticks to cook our brats.

What a great weekend.
