Finally buttoned Connie's blouse back up, used the black ABS cement to fix several broken fairing tabs (worked great) so I could use Murph's screw kit again instead of the zip-ties she came with, put on Murph's fender extender, then took her on a short test run to see if everything was working well. Just headed out with no particular route in mind, somehow ended up in Scottsville
at Pee-Wee's BBQ.
Don't know how it happened.. Decided not to even go look at Hatton's Ferry, would have been depressing if it was closed again.

Connie purred right up and back, so far so good. Idle is just a little rough, but hopefully a quick carb sych will help that. So far so good.

Now hopefully to finish defarkling the Ninja and ready to sell...

Good to hear.

Why sell the Mini Connie? It's good to have two bikes, keeps you from getting bored with one.

Well, now that I have the touring bike I always wanted, perhaps a nice little DRZ will find me once the Ninja is gone..

And time for a headline update: DALLAS LOST!!! What a great freakin weekend...!

mini and normal connie status

I was wondering how you were coming along with fixing/farkling the connie.

Let us know when you list your accessories from the ninja.

...

I saw a blurb last week on one of the morning shows about them closing it down because of funding, or lack of...
A couple wanted to get married on the ferry, and the show filmed it, the couple invited a ton of friends (with $$$$) and asked that they make donations to the ferry in lieu of wedding presents, so I think the outcome was that it will be opened back up for the remainder of this year....no word on the outcome tho.

Connie farkle update: JCW large trunk, Murph's peg lowering kit with 'Wing pegs, SS fairing screws, front tip-over bars with highway pegs, handlebar adapter just waiting for the bars to get here, 12V socket, GPS Ram-mounted to dash, and front fender extender. That's all so far.

Ninja de-farkle update: Had everything listed on the Ninja 250 site and all the big stuff sold quickly. What remains: set of KLR mirrors, the stock shock which is basically new, and my infamous Batman ADV windshield.

If anyone needs any of this just lemme know, but Guy's daughter gets first dibs...

Almost 4 hours each way per Google plus a hefty toll bridge. Think I'll lurk too...

Finally got the part to fix my sons XR70 from leaking gas. Turned out the float pin was worn ...when I got the new one it had a sharp point on it. Took me all of 10 min to install it and that included taking the carb off and putting it on. My son said, "Wow dad you really can fix things". I made sure he watched as I did it so he has a sense of working on his own stuff...he was interested and asked a bunch of questions I didn't know the answer to lol.
