Yeah but my count of guns is almost my count of post on vagt. I only have a few bikes in the garage as of now lol.

Gonna have to pass on the show. Got a load of 30-30 in yesterday, and I still have 2 AR receivers to build up. Need to take care of some garage stuff today, plus a couple of items left to take care of in the bath we just remodeled.

May ride out to the Veterans Cemetery a little today. I want to go to say hello, and to see the marker that's now in place.

Jimmy, I've be honored to have you join me.... perhaps not the first time tho'. Connor and I need to be "alone" for that one.

Wife and daughter (the one here) still aren't ready to go out. Like yourself, I've seen some ugly $hit during my life, so perhaps I've become callus to something like this... even tho' it was one of own. The initial image, however, will be in my mind's eye forever. That one will never go away.

Well, much to my wife's dismay, Green Top has an annual April Sale. I have been thinking about a new hunting weapon. Physically, my shoulder has been giving me some problems and my eyes are not what they used to be. After two years of research I bought....a crossbow. I like bow season and I have hunted bow for many years. I think I will be ready this season.

Parker Terminator, 175 lbs, carbon 400 grain plus bolts. After not hunting bow last two years, this fall I hope to be ready.

Nice crossbow. I've seen a few guys slice the end of their thumb off using a crossbow. Be careful!

Oh I know! While I was waiting on the bow, I drooled over a stainless, medium frame, DA 357 wheel gun.

Yes I know about the digit danger. Problem is that you get all jazzed up, then get twisted into a pretzel trying to get your weapon in position without alerting game, and fingers go where they shouldn't. The Parker rep was there. He said most of the reports that they get of people hurting fingers is shooting from a bench, and the left hand gets up on the top of the stock like bench shooting a rifle.

I only bought one gun today ... A Ruger LCP, some .380 ammo and a pocket holster. I need to break in the holster as it is really really stiff but I think this is going to make a perfect summer carry gun for me.

Yes, nice pocket gun. It's hard to find 380 pills though, buy them up when you see 'em. Come on let's go shooting, I'll shoot my little 38 S&W, you need to break that little auto in.

do me a favor bro,
I can understand old age, hernia, and other maladies effecting the reason why people buy cross bows, but doe and all the others a favor, and don't poke a bolt into a record deer....

they won't make book being shot that way, and lord knows I shot lotsa baldies for the fry pan with my hand held bow...
ya just can't get nin the books with a machine.....

but, they are effecient in culling the heard, if ya get mah drift....killem all, we can grind 'em up......

Well I doubt that you got to worry about me and record books under any condition. I fill the freezer and take a nice buck occasionally but I have never thought about records. But apparently I need to come hunt with you and change my mind.

I had it out this morning shooting after sighting it in last evening. Yeah it's a machine, but so is my 75% let off compound that I have been shooting for 12 years.
Neither is a stick and a string. Actually, it's a hoot to shoot. Not like the nearly zen frame of mind I get with a bow, different. Accurate but not as easily accurate as my bow. Fun though.
