That was terrifying to watch. The guy has incredible riding skills but it's hard to believe he will live very long ridding like that.

Richmond to Mt. Storm, WV

I have to meet a customer up in Mt. Storm on Monday. Thought I would take the bike on Sunday and enjoy the ride. Any route recommendations? Mt. Storm is just North of Monongahela Nat'l Forest, I could just run 33 all the way to 28 at Monkeytown and right up through Seneca Rocks and Spruce Knob but I wanted to see if there are any favored routes. This will be my first ride out that way.

All the roads out there are great. Lots of good dirt roads too.

This is nice fun little paved road. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sour...,0.528374&z=12

I enjoy the "lane and a halfs" that are all over WV, mostly all chip gravel.

Anyone have any suggestions on "breaking in" some leather gloves? I had to replace my tourmaster heated gloves back late winter and the new ones are really stiff.

Thanks for the GS Adventure advice guys.It was very helpful.

On another note, that rider in Moscow is one unexpected lane change or turn from being a statistic. His considerable skills would be better spent on a track.

One stretch, Rte. 42 out Scherr is one of my favorite stretches. Very twisty up hill ride.

Have you treated them with a leather preservative?

Red Wing shoes have some oil that I like very much. It softens leather very well, and adds some water repellancy.

I use it even on my boots/shoes with GoreTex liners.

That video is SCARY!

Holy smokes! I kept waiting for the horrific crash to end the video! That dude should sign up for the Isle of Mann TT if he's that comfortable hauling a$$ inches from stopped cars and trucks!

I haven't.. I just pulled them out this morning for the fist time since last winter and had a heck of a time coming to work. I read up on it some and it looks like neatsfoot oil supposed to help soften things up??
