Spyderwoman

Saw an interesting sight on my ride home from work. Spyderwoman was sighted on Patterson Ave.....on her way to Sigma Alfa Epsilon?

I ran across a bright yellow CanAm in WV last fall. They were flying along. Lookes like it handled just fine

Somehow though, I dunno that I could get into 3 wheels. Guess maybe if I ever get to where I can't hold it up

I talked to a "sportbike" guy who pulled up on one at Sam's Club. He said he loved his. Said it handled like you wouldn't believe. He rode one on a whim, and said he had to have one. SOld a 'busa for it.

What ever you do don't call it a "trike". They ( Can Am ) hate that for some reason.

Now that sounds like cool day trip. What are you Saturday tour hours Jimmy?

Seriously though, it sounds like a lot of fun. I'd love to take the prison area tour. I pulled in there to drink a cup of coffee when I was out for ride one day. It's more intimidating up close. The Shawshank romanticism disappears when you get within 100 yards of the fences.

You get used to it. I commuted through there for 5 years before they opened 288. I used to go all he way out to 522 to cross over to Powhatan. That short cut saved 5 miles. But 288 saves another 10 miles.
I still use it occasionally especially when I ride my bike to work.

All of the land there was in my family at the turn of the 20th century. My great-great grandfather sold it to the state.

Here's a pic of Mike going into the homeplace.

Yes, PCC. Not a fun place. I've only been inside a couple of times, serving papers when I worked for the Sheriff's Office. Our county jail was the old "Death Row."

Did you ride the gravel roads, or stick to the paved road?

Some of the personnel get a little concerned when you ride the gravel and get off the beaten path. Thankfully, I have permission from the warden.
