I wish

that the Triangle Restaurant was still open in Buena Vista. They were of Portugese descent and were the only "local" place south of New Bedford, MA (I am aware of) that served Linguica......... a Portugese sausage.

Used to go in there on occasion during Brrr Rides of years gone by for breakfast. A nice mess of that stuff cooked up with eggs and hash browns is the cat's A$$. Have some in my freezer now.

Edit: Linguica; not cat's A$$.

Oh yeah, forgot about these fixin's I did up awhile back and documented:

and all the rest can be seen at:

Every hour is rush hour in NOVA. Grew up there, never going back! Have a safe trip home to sanity.

LOTS of deer in that area too! I was up there Monday evening, and had had to dodge 'em left and right.

Godspeed Benjamin!

+1 Can't decide if I am a better or worse driver for having cut my teeth at the mixing bowl...

You REALLY wanted it badly didn't you Ben. I think I'd find somewhere comfortable and sit it out until traffic thins out. I hope you make it home safely.

It probably did at the time, but being away from that madness can lull you into a sense of security that can make you vulnerable.

THAT place is nuts at all hours, as are areas around here. Careful my friend, and live to ride another day.

So far mikeDR650 and Guy Young have expressed an interest in dinner. I'll be there at 5:30pm. Anyone else going to join us?

Thought I stumbled on that once before; maybe not.

I know a couple odd ways. This ones my fav, though you have store the text string somewhere for easy copying and pasting..

With the address or location centered on the google map you just paste or type javascript:void(prompt('',gApplication.getMap().ge tCenter())); in your browser's address bar. Hit enter and a the coordinates pop right up.

Ok, it's going in my signature so we can all find it at any time.

Wikimapia or Wikimapia Beta will take coordinates. It also has ability to use terrain view/satellite view just like Google Earth. It also has wikipedia-related boxes around points of interest.

Oh and in case you ever need to convert Degrees/Min/Sec to Lat/Long

Exactly.... You know, I was just typing random characters into the address bar and BAM there it is!

No, I did a little googling to figure that out one day and I stumbled upon a site called "lifehacker" or something like that. They had this method listed. I have no idea how THEY found it. Probably hacked google and created it from scratch... who knows the power of the nerd?
