Your doctor doesn't have a basic EKG machine in his office...?
That's kind of like a dentist without a drill...So who's going camping this weekend? Don't go too far north!

Arrived in the wilds of WV about 45 minutes ago. Ran into a little snow coming over the mtn. just west of Monterey. They're calling for 2-3" here (Glenville) tonight. Might make for a slushy internment tomorrow. :-)

Rode the bike home today. Figured out why the neutral indicator light wasn't working. It was the same reason none of my signal, marker lights or gauges worked when I went for a test ride this afternoon. Took a bunch of plastic off to check I hadn't left anything unplugged up by the radiator. Turns out I didn't need to. It was only to find a blown fuse under the seat marked signals. Replaced the fuse put the plastics back on and rode home in the rain. Nikwax on the stitch worked great, I stayed dry and my grip heaters and heated jacket liner both still work. The engine definitely runs smoother after the valve adjustment. Either that or it was the new air filter.
I'm thinking I'm not going to ride tomorrow but if the clear forecast holds for Sunday I'll make a day of it. Not sure where too yet. |

Just for giggles
Two completely off topic subjects:
One, we went and saw Dick Dale at the Capital Ale House last night. Good lord that man can wail on a guitar. Can't believe he's been the King of Surf Guitar my entire life, and has been playing since 1955. It was a great time. Second, and no I don't have a picture because it happened so fast..... So we're sitting in our front bay window this morning and we're watching the annual VSU Homecoming Parade go by on the street below. Yes it is cold and rainy, so we're in our warm robes and sipping on hot coffee, commenting on how miserable the marching bands look. Then my wife starts laughing, and here comes the "TRU RYDERZ" motorcycle club as part of the parade. Except the "TRU RYDERZ" motorcycle club is in a pick-up truck, pulling their two bikes on a trailer........ Both the truck and the trailer were emblazoned with signs and decals proclaiming the club's name. Oh how I wish I had a camera at the moment!

Update:
I was finally approved to start back to work on a part time basis. I'm used to traveling a lot and putting on lots of events, and I'll be stuck at a desk now - but I'm happy to get back to work. The doc still will not allow me to engage in any weight bearing activities, and the x-rays are showing some bone deterioration. I had to have a CT scan last week to determine if I'll have to have more surgery on my leg or not. I'm praying that no more surgery will be required! I've had enough!!! Y'all ride safe. You're in my prayers daily. - Jimmy |

Thats what I was looking for. Dauntless hitch?
Did you take any real hit in mpg on the highway? Notice anything weird in the handling?
