Cory, If you don't hate the Conti Shock don't change it.

If I was able to buy a tank I'd get the Conti one because I dont see upgrading the shock. Just my preference.

What did you Ohlins guys do with your Conti Shocks?

I've had pretty much everyones shock at one point on GS's and have heard anectdotes about all failing at some point.

With regard to catastrophic shock failure on a ride... With very little effort, one could make a rigid shock plug out of surplus al and throw it in the baggage.

Just get a tank and let me see it when it works.

Oh, if you want to check out the HPN tank, Charlie has it and we can see if we can get together.

Yeah what Vrago said! What did you guys who bought Ohlins or Wilburs do with your Conti shocks? With a spare I might be a little more comfortable.

Conti shocks on eBay

...HP2 conti shocks pop up on eBay occasionally. Others are probably sold to fellow HP2 riders through the network of advrider or the local shop or watering hole.

True, I listed mine 3 times, 15 days for $185 W/pump, no interest? My forth listing I wrote "hp2 air pump with free shock" $145, 3 bids and sold for $165.
It took a month to basically give it away for the price of just the pump? I figured eveybody went to a real shock already.

Does someone really think the airpump is worth $145? I'd have taken one at that price as well. Should have listed it on ADV Flea Market.

I saw it on eBay. I thought hmmm...I should buy it...but then I thought...eh, mine hasn't broken yet.

It was probably just that no one NEEDED a Conti Air Shock when you happened to list it.

Black Combi Only

FYI after I placed my order a couple weeks ago he had only the combi version in black available to sell (and just a few of those left). No more clear/ white tanks....

Shock Compatibility

I invested in the Conti version of the tank, but must look down the road at possibly needing to replace with an aftermarket shock. Markus designed the special tank to provide clearance for the Ohlins reservoir, which is FIXED.

Looking at the Wilburs (with its remote reservoir), it appears it could work with the Markus/ Ohlins Tank...

Anybody have experience with this?
