Me too. Seeing Blaine say that that is. I was over there a few weeks ago. Great guy, but not one to suffer fools. He's fixin to retire, so get em quick!

Yeah, I'm with the others. I think you're reading too much into this. He's just saying he's agreeing with you, and pointing out that they didn't do anything pushy to solicit you in the first place. I think this is exactly the kind of dealer you want to be dealing with.

But, there are plenty of places to buy tires. Do whatever you want.

This is a standard request I make of anyone I do business with online and if you don’t want junk mail or spam, you should too. Get a load of the response I got back from someone named blaine (sic) at Southwest Moto:

WE have been in business since Jan 1 of 2000 and have never sold, or given away any customer information. We do not store your information for future orders nor do we email you for sales or other crap. We did not solicit your business this time nor will we in the future. YOu found us, not the other way around.If you are as good as we are then you do not have to seek out business, it will find you. If you want us again , we will still be here. You will only hear from us if we hear from you first.

Just as your request could have easily come across as 'terse', so could their response come across as terse. Tit for tat.
Being a vendor in retail, I have to say, if I sent off a response like Blaine's to a customer who sent of a request like yours, I'd probably get my ass ripped from the boss. You know the old saying, the customer's always right. Well, they are!

I gotta say, the better response from SW Moto would have been something like: "Sure, not a problem. Merry Christmas".

It was not an unusual request by the guy, it just could have been handled better by SW Moto. I have done business with them in the past and like them. Hopefully, the larger operation can maintain their ability to provide prompt service and cost-conscious products.

Many of SW Moto's answers or lack of them aren't so cool from a businessman and his prices are low but can be matched or beaten many times. Sport Tour prices on certain tires were lower on single tire purchases and for Arizona residents many places have a lower total cost. That's what is good about competition.

They have had great customer service for me. They once sent me two tires instead of the three I ordered and paid for. I called immediately, and the tire was sent right away (I think I got it within four days).

Is SW Mototires really sold to bigger company? Any link on that?

Sarcasm just doesn't come across on e-mail. Blaine was just being sarcastic...snap out of it! I had a friend order a new KTM seat from a local dealer and after he fitted the seat on his bike complained that it was too hard. The dealer told him to go buy a Gold Wing! Sarcasm! It came across better in person.
