CHUDDER of DOOM
I have a 05 SV1000s that I picked up in Oct, I have been slowly getting it back into riding shape ( Headlights, Sprockets and Chain, LSL Handlebar conversion and Buell Pegs, oh yea and a new front tire) Plus I did the 20K mile check up. SOO, I have 2 Final things I want to get done
1. Corbin Seat 2. FIX the Chudder So does anybody know how to remove the Clutch Basket, I have to take it out and send it to " RealShelby" to have it fix. I heard he was the best. I am sure some of you VStrom owners will chime in ![]() I am pretty much open after 5pm, I can offer you beers and Verbal Support ![]() ![]() Also I would like to give a shout out to Nuggets for helping me with the Handlebars, It was top notch!! |

A couple weeks ago another inmate and I looked into a KTM on CL with no title. I talked to the guy selling it and was going to go look at it. I had to purchase tires for my cage that day & that weekend I was picking up the F650GS project bike also, so I had over spent my allowance that week and stopped the search. Well btblueskies kept his search going and found out some very interesting info. Last week he went to look at it and got the VIN. He researched the Virginia DMV & The Utah DMV(where it was supposed to be previously titled. Both searches came up clear and he also searched https://www.nicb.org/theft_and_fraud_awareness/vincheck. This search also came up clean. So he was still not feeling comfortable about the bike and decided to apply for an abandon vehicle title $25 before making the purchase to see how difficult this would be and if it was worth the hassle. The next day the state police contacted him and want the stolen bike that he had applied for the title for. He told them the story and they told him it was illegal to apply for the title if you are not in possession of the vehicle. All said and done the bike was recovered the seller had a previous bill of sale and the search for the thief goes on and the inmate is off the hook. But after this he had an interview with the police and contacted the website, cause they had told him that is the best way to check and get the info. The website had made a mistake searching the title and so the vehicle initially showed up clean but later show up as stolen. Read the thread in Richmond Chatter starting early this week. It is very interesting he did a great job informing us on the does & don'ts of doing the research and the things to watch for.

I wonder when the flooded New England motorcycles will start showing up down south after being cleaned up. Another thing to watch out.

1. Happens in my garage. This will work best for me, and be faster for you. 2. Buy me the clutch holder tool. ![]() My garage is well lit, and warm. It will have to wait a couple of weeks, since I am getting a garage door, drywall, lighting, and an epoxy floor next week, and it will take another week to get my stuff moved back in and set up. We can stash your bike in my shed while waiting for parts. |
