Dual Sporting Near Hampton Roads
Hey Hampton Road Inmates. Just moved to Chesapeake, VA from Central California. Where are the closest places to "legally" go dual sport riding near Hampton Roads. My Husky misses the dirt.

About 3 hours west to national forest is the nearest decent dual sporting. ![]() We have more fun than we deserve with what we have. Welcome to the flatland. |

There are a few backroads out in Surry, Isle of Wight, and Suffolk where you could find some rough pavement or gravel roads. Best bet is to just explore on your own, which is what I do.

Gotta drive a bit to get to somewhere where you can ride legally unfortunately. You found the right group though, there's usually someone heading out regularly to ride so just keep tabs in here and I'm sure someone will show you some spots. Also, avoid riding with DAAANG if possible. He'll try to make you crash on purpose while he's filming, and then he'll stick the footage on youtube without your permission. I've still got litigation pending against him for defamation... |

Lol I bought Matt's T-Dub a couple months ago and have it up at my brother-in-law's cabin in WV, endless trails up there and we're up there at least a few weekends a month so it works out. As for the Gas Gas/Beta's, I would love to steal one of my dad's trials bikes. Would be PERFECT for WV... |

Build quality on those beta's and gas/gas bikes is supposed to be pretty high... Better than Jap and Euro bikes, so I'm told. Those two new bikes from gas gas/beta are somewhat of a crossover. Kind of a trials bike with a seat and a bigger gas tank and street legal. Probably close to the older trials bikes, but with all the added benefit of new technology. I bet they'd be a ton of fun in the woods. Jon
