MCN had a write up on the Hornet Deer Avoidance System.

http://www.xp3hornet.com/

I think about getting one whenever I have a near miss and when one body slammed the Hood of my car. MCN indicated when turned on the deer look home and run off.

OR you can send me your money and I will do a special ceremonial dance complete with beer and loud music that works even better! I have a 100% success rate. I have NEVER seen a deer anywhere around when the ceremony is performed!
Deer hear in pretty much the same ranges we do..they are just more acute to their environment. If any sound startles a deer it will usually head to where it already has learned it's safe. Hence, you approach it and lay on your horn....but guess what, it had already come from the other side of the road before you got there...now, you approach, its scared shitless, instead of running off into the woods that are closest (as we would expect) it darts out right smack in front of you as its headed to where it came from. Dogs have better hearing up into the ultrasonic range than deer. Not to mention..you not only need frequency but you need decibels in that frequency...your bike motor would drown out the any the little electric or wind driven "whistle" could generate.
Save your hard earned $$$.

I have not bought one but if the deer hears it 1,000 feet away it can run whenever it wants as long as runs away by the time I get there. For now I am glad my Vstrom has good lights.

I'd like to get some accessory lights for the Dakar. Maybe something that shoots lasers as well. Or bees. Or maybe just strap a couple Akita's to the side of the tank and have them shoot bees out of their mouths.

Probably just the lights for now.

I would also like some AUX lights. The DR is a great bike. It's lights, not so much.

How about flame throwers. The Barton has a large gas tank.

Or these.

Did another photo shoot on Sunday. New model this time. Nothing motorbike related this shoot, but I hope to be working with her more in the future, and I have a few ideas in my head using the BMW, and not the Duc.

Anyway, here's a few of the shots I've finished so far.
