Thanks for the tip though
Yeah I hear ya but I'd still give Bob a call. I went with a friend who took one of his classes ($70 I think cause she had to use one of his bikes) and afterwards he might just let you ride the rest of the day just to check things out. You didn't hear that from me. He (Bob) is very easy to get along with. Just a thought. I was thinking it was closer to you but Im not even sure about that. Good luck

So I get home and there's still a few of daylight left,, so I say I should run the DR a bit since its been sitting a few weeks, so I get on er and Kick 1-2-3 times, before it sat it was starting on the 3rd kick cold first kick warm,, so I double check the choke and give it a few more **getting a lil pissed and worried** so I stare at it,, grab a beer stare for a few more,, then realized I forgot to turn the key on....
Cheers

I believe that's Bob's standard start-up procedure.

'Doh!

Done that a few times, but with an e-starter and the kill switch off.

It's relief though, when you realize it was you, not the bike!

Yeah gotta say it made me laugh enough to post it,, I'll cheerfully accept a lil public humiliation & a bike running well, verse a bike that Really won't start, I guess it's kinda like when ever I take my KLR out mudding it's never a question of "if" I'm gonna dump it,, more of a matter of when ,how many times and at what speed, lucky for me I never became cool enough to have any reputation to uphold lol

Do you push the e-button harder? I just press it 3 or 4 times.

KLR for sale...........

People,

My father is selling his KLR 650. At the present moment this is all I know.............
  • It is the year before they changed body styles
  • It runs perfect
  • Low miles
  • New parts
  • New tires
  • When he bought it, he had Casey Cycle City in Newport News go through and flush, service ,and tune the whole bike.
  • He is asking $3,000.00
  • The bike is in Newport New, VA
I'll try and get some pics and more info later...........
