Do you have light fixtures there already? Or do you need wiring ran?

I can't believe my bike is so clean with only five minutes of effort.

As we painted the Evms bridge today I saw about 15 different dual sports cruise by. Not one stopped to say Hey. ,,, but I'm use to that here :) anyways tonight's project is taking my panniers to flat black staying with the aluminum top for tie down purposes watcha think? It looks much better than straight aluminum on my all black bike. IMO

Does anybody know off hand the hours during which the Dismal Swamp trails are open to vehicles?

I think there is one trail that is open for motor vehicles, and that's the one where you can pull your boat to the lake. I don't fish, nor do I have a boat, but I think this is by appointment. The other trails are off limits to motorized traffic to my knowledge.

The trails are nice by bicycle. They're perfect for old fat guys like me. Flat and wide.

I've been all over that swamp. Great trails criss-cross the entire place. All are gated and locked. All of them. Believe me. I've checked. Many times. Perfect for hiking and biking ... no motors allowed though.

Good surveyors ALWAYS keep notes.

FYI: Did some work on the "new" Dismal Swamp Canal trail several years ago, and the researcher managed to dig up several of Washington's old notes from work in the area. Kinda neat.
