I have a friend in Erie, PA who's trying to get rid of her gear. I think it might be size Small. I'll check into it.

I know this is a motorcycle forum, but we're going truck-camping in Buchanan, VA and hiking Apple Orchard Falls. Room for one more in the truck and there's an open invitation for anyone else who wants to go!

does anyone have a friend around buchanan who might be able to go grab a campsite for me? getting there a little later than my preference and would hate not to have a spot available.

Are the local trails you speak of "bigger" bike, and slightly damaged old dude, friendly? Hip is about 80 to 90% and not sure how I would fare on gnarly single track or deep mud. (Disclaimer: Ain't Skeered but the "Boss" would kill me if I got hurt again )The KTM can probably handle it, not so sure about myself? AND I still have the Mefo's on it and they are pretty much useless in the super wet slick stuff. But definitely would be awesome to meet some of you guys and sling some dirt.

If anybody wants some entertainment I am going to spoon some MotoZ's on her soon. Sit back, have a beer, and watch me cuss at some tires.

Count on it being wet/lots of mud, and definitely some single track.

KLR's and GS's have been back there, but I think handful is an understatement.

OUT.

I am taking my crotch fruit (ages 2 and 4) car camping up in the GWNF tomorrow. This is all part of my evil plan to induct them into the dual sport lifestyle. Since they are still too small for pillion, I'll start learnin them in the ancient art of talkin smack round the campfire.

Pretty much any bike with ground clearance can handle it you just need to ride at a comfortable pace. Take your time and you'll be fine. Get faster as you become more comfortable.

There's really only one tough part and you can either avoid it or we can help get your bike across. Either way you'll have a good time.

Did you just compare my SE to a GS and KLR? I don't know whether I am sad or offended....

Sounds like fun to me. Haven't bounced her off any trees or had her upside down in a mud hole in a long time. Let me know when and where and I will see if the boss will give me some two wheel therapy time. And I always ride my own pace. In my younger years I got caught up in the moment a few times and paid the price for it.
