Hey all. New to the forum and have been living in VA Beach for a few years. Any BMW fans in the area? I'm picking up a new GSA when it comes available and was wondering if anyone had any dual sport/off road riding areas available to share.

welcome.
Since the GS will likely be a good road bike like its predesessors ...load it up and head to the mountains That's where the decent off road/gravel road areas start.

What is this B-M-W that you speak of?

If a certain inmate named Daaang invites you on an "easy" trail ride..........bring spare parts.

Wrenching

RFH (request for help). Hey local inmates, anyone or more interested and able to help me install my ProCycle dual-sport kit to my pig this weekend? It involves adding wiring harness, headlight, turn signals, banjo brake sensors, trail tech vapor speedo, etc. Electrical/wiring is definitely not my forte. (Previously, TCON was very kind and generous to help me with the re-install of the OEM tank.) To make it fun - I'll provide some choice growlers and food.

If the bastards would only make them big enough......

It is definitely a Euro thang. When I was in Germany I spent a lot of time walking around. Wanted a pair of decent walking shoes or hiking boots. Try finding a pair of 14's in Germany.....go ahead.....I dare ya.

I can definitely help you with that, just can't really work it out for this weekend. If you can wait, I am more than happy to help. I have a bunch of tools for working with wiring.

I scratch built the wiring for my last DS build. http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=901398

I'm out of town until the 18th but I would be glad to give you a hand when I return. I'll bring my Pig over so we can get the wiring routing right and compare any other XR specific stuff. I'll give you a call when I'm back in town.

I assume you want the Gaerne Balance in a 14? Atomic Moto says they have 'em... But who knows if they really do.

Well damn.

My Forma Adventures showed up today and I wore them around the house for awhile. I am impressed so far. Excellent protection and extremely comfortable.

2014 Tidewater NYD Ride

Hello All,

Merry Christmas!

Time to start putting together the Annual New Years Day Ride.... I started a thread for it:

http://www.advrider.com/forums/showt...2#post22984702

Looking forward to seeing everyone, it's been a very busy year for me. 4 months to my military retirement.
