As you can see, I landed on the upslope between two decent landing areas. Funny that it is one of the smaller jumps there. Ah well, live and learn!

That looked like a pretty hard landing, now wonder you got hurt. Way to pull it off without crashing

Here are some directions. YOu have to save it to your google maps.
http://www.bikermonkey.com/2012/12/c...to-a-gpx-file/

Then use gpsvisualizer to convert from kml to gpx. I have done it but it has been awhile.

1. Not really ready for that.

2. Also not free next weekend.

There seems to be a good bit of interest in that map. I was just playing around with the "drag to reroute" feature while thinking about what would be fun to ride. I gave up after it wouldn't let me customize the route anymore.

It seems like it would be fun to ride, but who knows if it would all be open.

hello

Hey guys whats up.
New to the forum recently purchased a dual sport to get into riding where ever I want… not dirt bike tracks.

Anyways been lurking here for a while till I knew I could get out and ride given the holidays. Gonna do the NYD ride Tidewater KLR is putting together. Hope to meet some of y'all there.

On a side note, I have a pair of Grey Klim Latitude Pants I picked up on here while waiting for a black pair to come up. A black pair came up about a week later. So now I have to pair and don't want the grey ones.

So Grey Klim Latitude pants size 36 for sale. $350 firm for local sale. (will post in classified section later for $375 shipped) pants have some dirt on them from the previous owner, I haven't done any off road riding yet and haven't worn the pants on the bike. Gonna post in the Richmond thread as well tomorrow.

PM me if interested. Can bring along to NYD ride if wanted

Thanks
Cody

I have attempted to convert this to GPX in google maps. But it appears since I am opening the map from a link it is not giving me the "Save to My Maps" option. It shows up in My Places but will not let me convert it to KML and save it. It I have time later I will play with it a little more.

Cheers Ken

Yeah the new maps engine seems significantly less user friendly. I was able to save the route in my maps, but it never shows the link for the KML file. Guess I'll have to take my Garmin out to the mountains and track it myself

I'll have to give it a try. Did you open it in Google earth? Also I think if you can create a route in Google Earth the limit is higher. I think the last time I was working on gravel routes I used Google maps to find the intersections then Basecamp to make the route. My computer is old and slow so it took too long.

Thanks!

I appreciate all the well wishes, folks! Yeah, this Lisfranc thing sucks... but it could have been a whole lot worse, so I'm feeling pretty lucky, actually. I know there are folks on here dealing with far more serious injuries. I can't wait to get out and RIDE!

Happy New Year, everyone! (I know it's a day early, but what the heck)

So I finally tricked the damned route into a GPX FILE. Click the link if you're so inclined. It was way more involved than just "converting" but at least I don't feel so old anymore.

With that being said, who wants to go ride it this weekend?

Right on man. I tried it in Earth on Classic maps and "New". Neither one would allow be to save and/or convert.

Good job man!

Cheers Ken
